This is a terrific water softener. I have had one in contiuous use for over 6 years and it has never given any problems. It is more reasonably priced now when I bought and there are no electric components so no chance of a breakdown. Forget the Kenetico model this is the same thing for half the money in less fancy packaging. We bought the Crown Softener a year ago, as my son has eczema. I was nearly put off by the price but looking around i found you can purchase from fountain softeners and install yourself for around half the price. They were informative and helpfull and delivered on time. Had no problems with the softener and my son's eczema has nearly dissapeared. Have bored all my friends telling them they should get one! I had this installed this outside, in it's own little heated house. Plumber did the plumbing bit, I built the house which was good fun. The water softener has work faultlessly for 6 months, and uses very little salt. Even though it is a block softener it works fine with tablet salt. The crown uses about 1/2 the salt a colleague of mine uses in a metered single tank softener, which means this is very economical.
