General comments: I went to the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool with my local archaeological group. Situated inside the Maritime Museum it was little dissapointed. I thought it would be excellent but instead it was a bit dull. I found it hard to find and consists of three galleries. The first one shows how the people lived before being en-slaved. This was my favourite part with an interesting collection of masks and spears which in my opinion is spoilt by a 'reconstruction' of a tribal village which is like a childs toy. The second part tells the story of transportation and slavery. Although the model is excellent I think it is wrecked by too much interactive4 exhibits, which tell you nothing and are just games. The final exhibit tells the story of people after the slave trade and the way people were treated - found it a bit boring but perhaps necessary. The amount of writing is at a minimum and its very cold and lifeless. I feel it sets out to tell a story but somehow fails to do so.
