“CHOOSING PACKAGE ”

Team, I am your regular customer and i want to change my plan from earlier one i.e., $ 20 to the current plus plan i.e., $ 18 monthly ...If I am upgrading my plan with plus it is forwarding to payment gateway as $ 20. I want to go with better option of $ 18 as of which it is showing in 'Maker Pricing' column of the website please give me a solution as quick as you can its urgent. Do Reply ! “Webeden at an all time low”

I have been with Webeden now for over 6 years and I have found their customer services to be at an all time low. You email support and have to wait over two weeks for a reply and that is when they decide to reply at all. You try and get a reply on their facebook page and your told to submit a help ticket as they do not monitor their own facebook page???? Problems with flash, you follow their instructions and nothing works, even though you are using what they say to use??? When editing,... (read more)

I have used Webeden for three years and have two busy sites hosted by them. The web builder tools are great and overall I would have considered a 5 star rating, but it feels like they area starting to lag behind. Will a growing number of iPad (i-etc), multi-browsers and mobile phone users, Flash just does not cut-it anymore and ultimately it will have a affect my customers and therefore Webeden's. “Webeden do not care!”

Thier site is riddled with errors "Unfortunately there has been an error. Please try again." When you contact Webeden about this: 1. Their phone system does not work. 2. Emails take over three weeks to responded to. 3. When your email is answered - "as you are on a free package there is not a lot we can do." They do not care about their customers with free accounts, only customers paying for thier packages. - My expierence anyway. Avoid at all cost in terms of customer service. (read more)

I have been trying to edit my web page for three hours. I beleive that I am looged on because there is a box asking me to logout. A floating edit box is on the screen which will tell me about font sizes and types. After reading teh instructions twice I find that there is double click functionality so I cannot even make a simple change like editing the company name or even the size of the box that contains it. Why did I ever go to university to learn philosophy and law when it cannot help me... (read more)

I have built several sites on other web builders sites, this has been the most difficult. The editing of text is difficult and does not fit on pages. Pictures are continually moving around and not able to fix them into place properly. (read more)

I'm in the process of *trying* to transfer my clients current website (hosted with webeden) to her new hosting service and let me tell you they certainly don't make it easy. It's not like your regular service where you have access to the cpanel, no, this hosting service doesn't even provide ftp access! The file manager is ridiculous, my client has a gallery so I have to download all of her images ONE BY ONE because webeden don't give you the option of multiple downloads. If you do choose... I have been using Webeden since 2006 and they have always provided an excellent service. The tools are very good and simple to use. Problems are fixed very quickly. A version for mobiles has been added recently. I currently have 10 websites with Webeden and they are all running smoothly. I would recommend them very highly. (read more)

I chose to use webeden as most of it's rivals have ads on there free websites. I am only 10 years old and i found it very shocking that they added ads. I know the need to advertise there website but i think it was terrible to turn on me and other free website users. (read more)

“Great for starters... & experts alike!”

This site makes it easy to quickly build sites every time. They have many features that most CMS's would charge extra for - forums, comments, chats, etc... all hosted for a low fee. Building a 10 page site with comments, a forum, a shop & blog & online support chat takes £4 a month, and about 5 hours including content. Scripting that... probably a week of blatant scripting, unless you have templates- and then you'd probably be paying for £550 dream weaver or £2 a month hosting.... (read more)

“Webeden Have Become Greedy”

I have used Webeden services for six years. They used to be really good and value for money. Since last year Webeden have become overpriced for the rather basic tools on offer. Membership Tools used to be available on every package. Now it is only available on there £115 a year package. I run a dating site and really need Membership Tools to run it. I`m currently paying £72 a year for 5 websites. But unable to use the tool I need the most. (read more)

why has the site I have spent hours creating now been covered by a webeden sales page and all links I have published to my user community (200 +hits in 48 hours)are also being directed to a sales page ... The site is a Royal Air Force Memorial site dedicated to the memory of lost colleagues of the RAF Rescue Services ...... if this is a sales gimmick of Webeden THEN IT JUST IS NOT RIGHT OR FITTING ... WOULD HAVE HAPPILY PUT A LINK IN FOR YOU BUT TO BLOCK A SITE LIKE THIS IS JUST RUBBISH. (read more)

I started building a website for my football with webeden and later on started to use the software commercially for clients. It has some limitations. I wouldn't use it to build a site with heavy content, but there are so many GREAT things about the software that enable you to create a simple eye catching site for your business/organisation. this comes from someone who is a novice in the web development space. However, webeden has made it so simple to me to have a grt website. I tried various other sitemaker websites like Yola, webstarts etc and yahoo. however, webeden gives me the freedom to do whatever i want whenever i want and very easily too..would recommend for sure..There can be some changes made to improve things like members' comments..integration of blog and some more SEO. rest is all great.. Webeden is a great website builder I would recomend it to anyone! good things: very easy to use editing. bad things: bugs on changing site size crash etc. the support realy needs to be improved. Ok well I have tried a few of these bits of software that you can use to build a website and mostly I have got seriously stuck. Usually its doing something really easy like uploading a picture. But you have to hand it to webeden it is totally simple, you might not believe me but I have even got my mum to build a website and that is saying something! There is very little support from webeden to resolve any issues. There is no immediate support, even if you run a business. It can sometimes take days to get a response by email and more often than not they ask you a further question, rather than resolving the issue you have quite clearly reported. Lather, rinse, repeat. I have been with webeden for a few months and they are hosting two of my business sites. I am already searching for a more reliable and responsive host after paying... (read more)

i like it have just started today and i find it easy. maybe that's because i have use plenty of other website builders. But i came across webeden and im happy with it. it dosent restrict you from alot even if you are on the free trail version which im on. and you can simply have a site for free as lon as you want. just make sure you long in and edit it often. i like the fact you have freedom over designing everything on it.

I wiil say I am a bit of a novice when it comes to my computer, but I have built a really good site. The only negative is, that Webeden assume that you know a fair bit so for somebody like me the help pages were still a bit of a mystery. You can use the Paypal Buttons but it took me ages to find out how. When enquired I was told the site doesn't support HTML but you CAN upload your paypal buttons through the library. Now I have been working on my site and gained confidence it is really easy.... (read more)

They are a great user friendly site that also have extensive tutorials and advice about site building and optimisation.

Being flash and not Html, the paypal option isnt great: you cant have the standard paypal merchants button which is a shame. I also wonder about access to the site by others while you are editing it.

But all in all, you can run a fairly good site free of charge (without a cart). It has everything you need and more besides. It even has a gallery of what others have done,... (read more)

i have made a website on microsoft publisher and it was hard. i dont do many websites and webeden is by far the easiest and best way of making a website. i wouldnt have been able to make such a great site without webeden so thanks to the makers. So I now have adverts for Thai brides and all sorts of stuff that completely undermines the credibility of my Russian German interpreter business. My wife wanted to start a lettings business as she knows a lot of apartment owners as she was a broker. She kept nagging me to find out about it and luckily I stumbled upon webeden. We now have a site where my wife can collect reservation fees, show video clips and photos of the apartments, show availability and I have never built a website before. Highly, highly recommended. Webeden is amazing. Very easy to use tools and there is so much you can do with it. I'm only 11 years old and have a site on webeden, I didn't have to pay but still with the free package I have it isn't a huge difference to the max package for example. Webeden is brilliant, I would recommend this for all begginners.

Very easy to use tool, I am a complete novice but I built a site that's better than some of my friends, and they claim to be pros! It also gets well indexed by the search engines - I appear highly, even though its flash.

Webeden are constantly adding new ideas to the sites like images, functions, etc They've really thought their product out well.
