Had a spinal problem for 14 years, been on Zydol for the past year.. Never ever had any pain since.. But if I forget to take one.. It becomes my worst nightmare.. Like wearing a fur coat inside out..itching, scratching.. Being a slow release tablet it takes time for the feeling to wear off once you take one... Stick to your routine… Read Full Review

This is a pain killing drug for moderate to severe pain. It is synthetic, works in the same way as opiates and one of the main selling points is, unlike opiates prescribed for this form of pain, it is NOT habit forming. Hmmmm ... well, you may wish to check out some of the blogs on the internet regarding people's experiences, including my own that follows ....

I can only speak from my own experience of course but it does generally tie in with the negative views of others who have decided to… Read Full Review

I found this review helpful because.. I have just been diagnosed with secondary cancer in the pelvis and am experiencing some moderate pain. The doctor just prescribed Tramadol and I always try to understand the contraindications before I take anything. I will now be very cautious before I start taking them and only take as necessary.

I agree entirely - I was prescribed Tramadol for leg pain and at first they were a godsend. The GP never once mentioned they were habit forming and as the leg improved I wanted to come off meds. The doc said that as i was on a low dose I could stop - BIG mistake, 6 days of cold turkey, thinking I had the flu, subsequent trip to A&E where i was advised NEVER to just stop taking these and a wean is necessary. Safe to say that being put on these is the worst thing to have happened to me and I now begin a journey of getting off the damn things as I have no intention of going cold turkey again. I have received an e-mail from the scientific officer at FRANK who has outlined a programme over some months just to get off 150mg. I have even seen drugs counsellors as I may have to take Subutex if I cannot wean myself. These pills should com e with a government health warning.

I found your review really helpful. I have only been suffering with constant and severe pain for a month now with not much change and was prescibed Tramal by an After hours Doctor when I couldnt get to see my regular Doctor. My regular Doctor said not to take Tramal, but my pain hasnt gone away. I decided to check for other comments before starting Tramal. Its been very frustrating, so thank you for your review.
