    I too have noticed the "bug" that United Hosting have been having with mail (MX) records, which they seem completely unable to fix. Suddenly mail records for domains will spontaneously "change" often causing mayhem for our clients. We have had clients demand to move away because of the unreliability of this service.

    And strangely enough no other provider that we're with seems to have had this problem.

    Aside from that, numerous instances of servers freezing up, and the control panel is almost unusable sometimes in IE8 (my point being that it should be useable and dependable in all browsers)

    If I was writing this review a few years ago I would have given United Hosting 4 stars. Sadly in recent months their reliability has deteriorated sharply. In particular problems with mail records, and with the hosting server we were on freezing up or crashing, have caused no end of issues with our clients. As a result we've cancelled our planned expansion of our reseller account.

    All a shame because the support response time remains great and they usually at least *try* to help- but there seem ...

    Just great service and support. United Hosting know what they're doing and give realistic bandwidth & storage, to ensure servers are performing on a 'rock-solid' infastructure. I cannot find anyone who can provide better. Thre are cheaper providers, but I want someone I can trust. Servers never beed down in over 2 years for me. Support has always been super fast when I have had a query. Yes it's a ticket system, but I usually get a response in a matter minutes.

    www.unitedhosting.co.uk has ver poor customer service. I've used Globix / Pipex / Network Solutions etc etc and my experience of UH is that by comparison the customer service is terrible, they apper not to be interested in the problems that they have created.

    Having been fed up with 1and1 for a while, I stumbled across www.unitedhosting.co.uk. What a find! Excellent customer service which supports reliable and fast technology. Cannot praise these people highly enough. Fantastic. very helpful when needed clear and explicit guidance. Having come from 1and1 - this is how it should be done!

    I had constant mini outages with my sites when they were hosted with UH - their support were initially trying to be helpful but couldn't seem to solve the problem in my opinion. When I went into their forums to see if anyone else was having the same problem, it was clear I was not alone and when I posted in there asking for other people's experiences, even when I pointed out that many of my clients were noticing the problem too!

    I have had a reseller account for serveral years now, and despite getting bigger and bigger - United Hosting provide a fantastic service. Helpful beyond the call of duty and very responsive.

    We had a major server relocation which was communicated well ahead of time, and completed without significant disruption.

    In a world wide web of hosting companies, these guys stand out.

    I am in and out of my retail site throughout the day, and several times each month I ca't get into it. This usually sorts it's self out within a minute or so, but what must my customers think?I've asked UH about this many times (they are polite and usualy very quick to reply), Their answer is to point at the servers uptime (99.999999 blah%) and tell me my site must be crashing.This just does not add up to me and in the absence of a better explanation.     Very good support - very quick replies. Website traffice increased noticeably since moving to UH. Obviously a very good company. Would recommend.I have 3 websites with UH and they have all been problem free. If only their bandwidth quota was more realistic, I would never move.

    This is one superb hosting company. Their customer service is absolute top notch. The service provided cannot be faulted. They are organised and keep the customer informed of everything that's happening.
    All the correspondence is done via phone & support tickets. The tickets are answered extremely quickly with helpful responses.
    Would recommend to a friend any day.

    United Hosting may not be the biggest name in the game, but their excellent customer support is worth its weight in gold.
