    Supanames used to be ok, but they are now expensive and uncaring. Their support is useless, and try to hang on to you by not actioning transfer requests. There are much better services available.

    They lose support tickets and simply do not care what quality of service they provide. Supanames have completely lost direction and their support team now frequently 'lose' support requests they don't like. Their servers have installed software that is four or five times behind the current public releases. The website as well as MySQL databases, emails and FTP can have periods, often long, when they are really slow. Their bespoke control panel has several quirks - including a password change that dosen't include MySQL databases.

    The staff are rude and unhelpful, and their hosting has more down time than other providers.

    If you want dirt-cheap, static site hosting - consider Supanames.

    If reliability, availability, support quality, concern for customers' customers (site users) matter - steer clear of Supanames.


    The only thing going for them is price. However the support and customer focus is just not there for reliable, dynamic sites.

    Supanames'time was the late 1990s when everyone wanted a web site. They developed a pack-them-in and sell-them cheap business model.

    I would recommend SupaNames to anyone. I have 3 sites hosted with them. The control panel to administer the site is really easy to use and allows you to take control of a lot of aspects. With the start packages you get plenty of hosting space, 5 databases, 500 email addresses and more.

    I would not recommend using SupaNames if you are publishing with frontpage as they cannot install frontpage server extensions fully resulting in loss of functionality especially with forms.
    The server extensions require frequent reinstalls too.
