I have spent hours trying to solve problems via their live chat support system. Most have been very bad and now I'm moving - or trying to. One example - I couldn't upload website data and was advised by UKCheapest to download software from a third party site. This gave me a computer virus which took hours to fix and it still didn't fix the problem. “Offer applications not compatible with their hosting”

I signed up with uk-cheapest a month ago after logging into the control panel i found they offered Zen Cart so i spent a month writing a website in Zen Cart but when i came to upload it found that the PHP version running on their server is to old to run Zen Cart. I was then told that they are looking to upgrade but not in the near future. “Can manage the basics but anything else is a struggle”

I have been with them for 10 years + and for the third time in as many months they have suspended my account (and therefore all email and web access) due to their system not picking up my payments. My customers are complaining to me that they are losing business as their emails are being rejected and no one can access their websites. Hi,

We are very sorry for the problems you have experienced.

Occasionally a PayPal payment notification does not come through to us and it is an issue we have asked PayPal to investigate. We do not have this issue with any other payment providers.

We do send multiple reminders for any unpaid invoices however we completely understand that when you know you have sent a payment it feels natural to ignore the unpaid invoice notifications.

For these reasons we are advising clients to use other recurring payment methods including Direct Debit, Standing Order etc.

We do care very much when losing long standing clients and we will work hard to resolve this issue with PayPal.

In the meantime we will assist you in any way required to ensure your transition is as smooth as possible.

Occasionally isn't 3 months in a row and when the issue happens once you should investigate and fix it not wait till the customer has had enough. I didn't ignore the reminders - I contacted the help desk to try and get them stopped and received a response A WEEK later telling me the invoice had been marked as paid.

Hi,

Unfortunately your PayPal subscription was effected by this issue in which PayPal only advise to delete and recreate the subscription.

The invoice was marked as "unpaid" simply because we were not informed that the payment had been made. Our automated systems do suspend accounts when payment becomes overdue.

In defence of our billing system, you would have received notifications that your invoice was unpaid. The fact that it remained marked as "unpaid" caused the repeated suspension of your account.

The correct fix would have been for us to have marked the invoice as "paid" on one of these instances and also to advise you to delete and re-create your PayPal subscription from within your PayPal account.

We fully acknowledge that you had indeed sent a payment and again, we apologise that your service was suspended due to non-payment when in fact you had sent a payment.
