Having been ripped off by this Company in much the same way as other reviews, I wanted to report a success story with getting my money back. I got caught after repeatedly asking the sales person that this was a genuine loan offer. After getting his assurance that it was genuine, I paid my £69.99. Soon after, I checked this review site and realised that something was wrong. I had been referred to Enhance through Churchwood Financial. That's great you got your money back but you could have simply filed a complaint via your bank? That's what I did. I too, stupidly paid the £70 then checked this site and knew I was ripped off. I cancelled the agreement within 7 days and they promised to return my money after a month. When that didn't happen - I contacted my bank and they got my money back for me. I was ecstatic! I was also referred to Magic/Ehance via Churchwood. I was angry at them for referring me to a useless loan company. I'm glad that they are no longer doing that.

magic finance proper rip off ,i applied online ,then got phone call ,saying loans gone through ,had to pay £69 up front was told i'd get it back ,broker said i'd get loan of 17% payback two years sounded great ,got paperwork ,loan was 49%apr over 3 yrs and needed a garantor

Enhance took the application.Aware i was a tenant on benefits.Said that was not a problem. Gave me all the information and repayment terms etc.Told me they required a £70 brokerage fee which was returned within 30 days of loan completion unless i failed to return the paperwork. This company also trades under enhance financial services please beware if they ring you hang up. They fraudlenty charged me £69.99 and then when you ring them to complan its a premium rate number. I contacted these s*** of the earth after receiving an email from easy apply credit been looking for a loan for months sounded too good to be true and it was, I was charged the £69.99 and after 2 days of messing about I realised the company was a FAKE, I was lucky and got my money back before it was taken from the bank also had a stop put on my card and have now closed the account on advice from the bank. Have cancelled my card after making the payment of £69.99 over the phone to some guy at Magic called Paul, hopefully my bank helps get my money back. I urgently needed a loan to pay for my daughters Uni fees and paid Majic Finance £69.99 admin fee because they said my loan had been approved and once my proof of ID etc. had been received would be processed within a few days.
They took my fee on 25/08/10 and then again on 27/08/10. As of today 27/09/10 all they have done it put me in contact with loan companies that all need a gaurantor, which I don't have.
If I knew they wasn't the actual loan company I wouldn't have wasted my money, they...

I was also referred to Magic/Enhance Finance via Churchwood. I had no idea Magic was a bunch of con artists - i wouldn't have paid the brokerage fee otherwise. Glad i checked these reviews before i made any sort of commitment to them. I'm planning on cancelling the loan - in the meantime i ended up cancelling my debit card to prevent them from taking out more money (just a precaution) If they fail to return my cash - i can file a dispute with my bank or complain to the finance ombudsman.... I needed to raise some extra cash to pay off some cards I'd gone a bit wild on, the bank wouldn't help although I couldn't get a straight answer as to why. I found this review not helpful because...too many adverse reviews, my own included, to believe this fairy tale. If Magic Loans really are this good then why is there only 1 person saying so - could it be that they work for this broker - as everyone else has just been ripped off. I don't think that 18 customers can be telling lies.
