    Good Points: excellent sound quality


    Bad Points: no true hd audio


    General comments: Purchased the Yamaha DSPAX861 amp as a replacement for Yamaha DSP-AX640se, set it up with supplied mic, and was shocked by the smooth but detailed sound. Although it wont decode true hd/dts master through hdmi, you can feed audio direct from a bluray player via 7.1 audio inputs. excellent amp if the price is right.
