“Poor quality bed frames”

To start on a positive note, I'm pleased to say the bed turned up on the day expected and the driver was happy to carry both frames upstairs. However, the quality was disappointing. The bag of screws etc had at some point split open on transit and as the box was damaged and open at both ends, I picked up a screw which had fallen out in my hallway and after thorough searching luckily found most parts except for 2 washers which were missing from the package. No complaints with delivery and only had to wait 5 days for delivery which happened to be the best date that suited or we could've had it sooner. The bed itself is nice, the detailing on the bed possibly a wee bit cheap looking. When putting the trundle together paint did flake off but I'm not too bothered about that. The mattresses that came in the package are not firm so I wouldn't recommend purchasing if that's what you want. (read more)

Get the look of a brass bed without the weight. It is so hard to get a nice 4 foot headboard, my last one was always wobbling about but this goes all to way to the ground so is secure. Looks gorgeous, I ordered 5 to eleven yesterday and received lunchtime today. Very easy to put on ( you need the screws and plastic fittings from your last head board or buy some, mine didn't come with any.) Easily fits any standard divan and completely changes the look. I ordered Mya Hevea white stacking beds with memory foam mattresses online for the spare room and was very impressed that I could pick the day I wanted them delivered. The delivery company seemed a bit muddled though, as they emailed us to say they would be delivered 2 days earlier, and then texted to give an approximate delivery time. Brilliant delivery time, arrived a little late, but not by much, they took the bed up to the bedroom for us. My only negative comment which could not be helped was they left very dirty marks on our cream carpets, which I eventually got removed. 7 - 10 days delivery...be prepared to wait at least 2 weeks! Warning, do not allow the courier to leave until you have inspected the bed. I unwrapped mine to find splits in the wood, varnish missing in places on the bed and dents in every panel. No phone calls from their so called Customer Service Centre when I sent them the photographs of the extensive damage, the best they could muster up was an email. Absolutely fabulous. Sleepeezee are hard to get next day delivery as not alwys kept in stock. I rang up to order 2 over a Bank Holiday weekend and they were with me within 2 days. The Stompa High Sleeper was the best price via this website and the delivery was quick. Once we unpacked the items and realised the futon items were missing and extra pink cushions had been delivered in error they were quickly recified and correct items delivered a few days later with no problems. I will definitely recommend to friends. The system is quite complex to assemble and you need 2 people for some sections, but it looks great and our daughter loves it!!! A very happy 8 year old!! My daughter is thoroughly thrilled with her day bed. Quite easy to put together but does need two people. The mattress is so comfortable - she doesn't want to get out of bed in the morning. We bought an Edwardian Day bed for our daughter. Customer service and delivery were fine but trying to assemble the bed with the instructions provided was almost impossible and took 3 hours (with 2 very capabale DIYers). Also some of the parts were cheap plastic - in particular the ends you need to attach to the slats which go into the bed. Overall, I would not order this bed again given the assembly issues and very poor instructions. (read more)
