Good Points: This is a lovely looking product, with a great spec and after reviewing many irons I chose this one as the best. It was easy to use, ironed clothes to a pristine finish and heated up really quickly.

Bad Points: After a couple of months we found the orange anti calcium button switched on which means that there is a residue build up in the iron, we rang to get advice on how to deal with this. We were told to push a button into the iron and leave it there. Without going into the ins and out this was due to a fault with the original design. After this the orange light didn't go off but the iron seemed to work ok except for leaving the occasional tide mark on my clothes which meant I had to rewash them. Annoying but not the end of the world. Then one day I was ironing some jeans and the zip happened to pass through the gap between the metal iron plate and the plastic case and the iron blew up!!! It wouldn't work at all after this so I had it replaced. The replacement did exactly the same with the orange anti calc light which I found impossible to get turned off despite running water through the iron as advised to remove this residue. Just recently the iron put itself on turbo steam, steamed its way through the contents of its water canister and then refused to work again. Needless to say I have returned the item and now have a refund.

General comments: My experiences with this iron and being told that "tefal are the best" have left me a little wary and although I would happily spend up to £300 for an iron that saves me time and is completely reliable. I feel now that I don't know if I can trust a steam iron at all. I would not recommend this iron to anyone as it has been unreliable in four separate ways and is supposed to be the most superior of all irons. Steer clear of this product. !!
