Friendly helpful staff, good gym atmosphere and plenty of space to get my workouts done without having to wait for equipment. And I love the sauna

The gym is lovely, light bright and spacious with plenty of choice of machines and free weights to use. Staff on reception and in the cafe are always pleasant and helpful, and the gym staff are amazing. If you feel out of your comfort zone in a gym then these guys will help you feel at home. I had never done any group fitness classes before starting at Roko, but in my 1-to-1 appointment my trainer recommended the body-pump class (les Mills) and it was amazing! Recently refurbished changing rooms are spacious and clean. The outdoor swimming pool is really lovely especially in the summer. I would definitely 100% recommend this place. The price reflects the service provided well - it is cheaper than other health clubs but so much nicer then your average leisure centre. There is a 3 month membership cancellation notice period, but this shouldn't be a problem if planned correctly.

Having been a member at Roko in York for some time, I can not fault the service and attitude of the staff both at reception and on the gym floor. Im a typical gym user and visit 3-4 times per week, they open hours which suit my needs and offer the latest in both classes and equipment. My favorite perk of being a member at Roko is the ability to use Fitlinxx, Im amazed not many other gyms offer this service as it provides a real incentive to work out. I have recommended the gym to many friends and family members who also cant fault the place.

Roko Gillingham is the best club in the area without a doubt. I used to belong to Virgin which used to be Esporta, but since it got taken over has gone downhill massively (it looks like macdonalds inside)and the level of customer sevice is terrible!
I called Roko and spoke to a nice lady who invited me down and wasnt pushy with the sales process. It costs me 50 a month for a full mship which i cannot argue with as everything is included. The pool is nice and quiet and the club isnt overrun with kids which i love! Really pleased so far and would highly reccomened anyone thinking of joining a gym in the area to visit Roko.

I have been a member of Roko York for the past year and can't praise the staff enough for their excellent service, dedicatin and enthusiasm. I am a keen gym goer and have had experiences of a few gyms and i can easily say that this by far is the best. The classes are rewarding and there is a range of things to do to suit your training needs (pace yourself being the best work out class ever!), the gym floor staff are always on hand to ask questions to or have a chat about my workout and they always say hello with a smile on their faces. Absolutely brilliant, thank you Roko York.

I have been a member of the York club since it opened. I have always found the reception and gym staff very helpful and I have lost a lot of weight with the help of the gym team.
I joined from Fitness First so I am paying more than I used to but it is much more rewarding, the atmosphere is great and I have made many new friends.
There are always some problems in gyms but any issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
