My policy came to the end several days ago and I moved to another broker for the new policy 2015-2016. I requested my no claim discount document. First of all, they said that it could only be uploaded to my portal which can't be accessed after my policy expired. They then said that it would take up to 7-10 days to get the document sent to me by email and by post. I wondered how other companies can send such a document by email within an hour or so whilst CC needs such a long time to prepare… Read Full Review

“Horrible Customer Service - Horrible Complaint Handling”

Hi, Those guys came out of nowhere, some 6 months through my Car Insurance, claiming that my car details are incorrect, that it was showing Manual rather than Automatic. Obviously, I got back to me saying that the information was supposedly retrieved from the DVLA database and that it cannot be incorrect unless they messed with it. I have already contacted Customer Service and we have escalated to the Complaints Team and none was able to help. On the contrary, the only thing they cared about is the £50 and that's it, absolutely disgraceful!

ended up with three different quotes so not sure whether it is right or not. they even sent me an e-mail addressing me as a different name! i hope that i am covered properly. left me a bit uncertain of their commitment to my insurance cover. on the form it said that i did not work, but i entered in the appropriate box that i did work part-tim in a solicitors office. i hope this does not affect my cover in any way. lastly the form was quite easy to complete on line… Read Full Review

“New Car Insurance Policy”

Establishing my length of no claims discount proved problematic. This was despite the new policy (with Castle) having the same underwriter (Ageas) as my previous insurer, Autonet. Surely, verification with the same underwriter should have been straightforward - but oh, no! I had to email multiple copies of various parts of the renewal notice from Autonet to, 'prove' my NCD was what I said it was. Just before taking out a home policy with Castle Cover Insurance I was offered a special offer legal policy. Went on line to buy car insurance, had a good deal (thought I did!!!) session timed out before I completed so I thought it hadn't gone through until I saw my bank balance and money had been taken out, by this time my previous insurer matched the price no hassle, so decided to stay. I happily took out car insurance at an agreed price , no problem. The chap on the phone assured me that I would not pay until the insurance was due on 23rd August. However, on checking my bank account I realised that Ageas had already taken the money from my account on 4th August, 20 days before the insurance is due. I do not find this acceptable.
