    I went to this company Castlecover after many years dealing with more well known insurance companies directly, They placed my cover required with AXA who as a major player seemed fine, but as usual when it comes to a claim enquiry this is where they fall apart at the seams!
    AXA wasn't sure how to deal with a simple claim and have failed to make a promised return phone call and Castlecover the broker company have not responded to my emails and when telephoned they promised a return phone call from a customer service manager which has also not happened.

    Personally, I would only judge an insurer based on its claims service, not on how quickly it can collect premiums and issue documents. This firm seems to me to be an intermediary established in 2006.
    (Scored 5 simply as a mid-point with no experience of making a claim).

    I have both my house insurance and car insurance with Castle Cover. On both occasions, the service was excellent, and the policy documents arrived promptly. I would have no problems with recommending Castle Cover to friends and family

    The phone was answer straight away by Castle Cover Insurance, no computers and pressing buttons. Advisor dealt with me very professionaly and took the time to answer all my questions as well as having a laugh with me. Which was refreshing as some call centre just want to give you the quote and be done with you. The documents were sent quickly and the saving I made was huge, they also increased my cover and provided me with home emergency which is very usefull.

    I cancelled my policy with Castle Cover Car Insurance. They still sent me a new cover note. I rang them and as requested returned cover note. They did not do this and kept taking payment from direct debit. They said they hadnt recieved the cover note back. I had also emailed them 4 times and phoned twice. After contacting bank and threatening I would contact ombudsman I got a refund.
