Good Points: Picasa, now on version 3 and getting more powerful with every version, is an excellent photo catalogue and editor program. First of all it is free (why pay 150 quid for something so complicated as the other clever programs!) You can tweak (batch edit, b&w, sepia, soft focus, etc. even re-touch now) your images to your heart's content, trial and error, always easy to undo anything that you don't like.

Bad Points: Very few bad points to report, only good, especially for beginners and intermediate or even pros who just want a quick fix to their image.
It has so many features, but still no noise reduction which is a key with digital photography (but there are freebies there too if you look!)

General comments: You can't say you don't like it until you've tried it... if you are new to digital photography, confused with the overweight big, expensive program you got, then Picasa is the answer!
There are helpful tutorials if you search Google Picasa tutorial, but go for version 3.
    Happy editing!

    Upload to the internet.

    Rate your photographs.

    Apply effects to your photographs.

    And many other tasks.

It's not a replacement for more expensive photo software, but it does a very good job of the t ...
