Good Points: Villa is well decorated and has wonderful views to San Gimignano.

Bad Points: Pool had been closed day of our arrival and owners refused to reopen it. Centepedes everywhere in house and snake outside trying to get in. Road to Villa disastrous and unusable by a small cc hire car. In my opinion certainly not suitable for the elderly or disabled.

General comments: Would not stay at Tavernelle Casa Ida in Tuscany again. Felt the owners were not interested in us enjoying our stay but just in selling us wine at over inflated prices (not good wine either) and making sure we didn't break anything or move furniture around. I didn't find the villa particularly clean, dust and cobwebs everywhere and the fridge was a bit dirty. Horrible bugs that came out at night and dropped off the ceiling onto us.
Arriving late we were worried about not having the basic essentials to get us through to the next day and no welcome pack was offered and not available when asked about. The one tea towel to last the whole week was a bit difficult and the kitchen small and unworkable for major meal cooking.
