This was a truly fantastic game. I bought it for XBOX360 and never stopped playing it from the day i got it till the day the disc got broken (which happened to be about 6 months). The graphics are stunning and the offline story mode is gripping, real and contemporary. The online play though, i have to admit is revolutionary. The team play element and also the "run head first to the enemy" aspect made it both possible to release frustration through playing it but also thrilling to play with friends on it. I played with my school mates on it from the time we got in from school till we went to bed ( i will say in different beds). Overall, Fantastic Game and WOULD recommend however Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is out. Will be reviewing it as of when my new XBOX360 arrives.

amazing graphics, but incredibly disappointing.the game was overstimulating to the piont of shear confusion.i have played nearlly every shootem up over past 15 year on both xbox and ps2 and 3,but never experienced such rubish for 40 quid.i played the game in nearlly 12 hours flat...huh! so much for value for money.admittedly the graphics are stunning and probably the best on xbox and ps3 ever.there was however no excittment in the game and verry little challenge other than trying to understand w ...- Read Guest's review (109 words)

I thought it was an OK game because when you beat it ITS NOT FUN ANYMORE. You just repeat the same thing and do the same thing over and over. Good graphics and great multi-player but no historic connection. I liked it but still its a satisfactory game- Read KloopaTroopa61's review (48 words)

I am so glad that the Call of Duty franchise moved on from WW2. The Modern Warfare game is brilliant. The multiplayer is fun and you never get bored (apart from on the maps "Overgrown" and "District" because they are lame). My favourite map is "Pipeline". The campaigne is short but you should try it on vetrain because I'm still trying to complete the last level. The graphics are good to. What I found most good about the graphics were the guns and Helicopters. They look so real, its utterly brill ...- Read firebolt59's review (120 words)

finaly the call of duty franchise moved out of wwII and to the present. multiplayer is great, campaign is short but covers lot of ground but if you think it is short , well have you been playing it on recruit? yeah, try veteran. if only it had some extra like NAZI ZOMBIES on cod 5.- Read Guest's review (97 words)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfar e is just excellent, I just dont know how these guys do it.. the maps and texture, the movement and possitioning of items, buildings etc. the story line in single player. The only bad point and this is only my own personal grumble cos i like playing capture the flag on line.. so no capture the flag. as in carrying a flag and if your hit its dropped. I wont say too much here. It is the best first person shooter.. it is without doubt the best and now i see it has wo ...- Read FirestarterUK's review (123 words)

Call of Duty 4 is definitely one of the best (if not the best) games for any of the platforms it is on. I have the X-BOX 360 version, however other than the controls all the versions should be the same. With the amount of controls in the game, it would normally seem complicated, but activision/infantary ward has made sure the controls worked smoothly. It is safe to say that the graphics are stunning; on a HD LCD TV, on the 1080p setting, the graphics can look real, (or even better than real). Al ...- Read Guest's review (402 words)

Certainly a milestone leap forward from the other COD games. Well done Infinity Ward. This now raises the standard for other FPS to match. Great games take time to develop and well worth the wait. I hope the sequel will be more cinematic as in the imminent Killzone 2. Optional HUD etc. If you like shooters and don't have this game, I recommend it highly.- Read Guest's review (156 words)

All the weapons and general gameplay is very good and the graphics are very realistic, this makes it more effective.
Overall the game is very good and I would recommend this game to every fps fan out there. The story mode of the game is very addictive but Online is even better with hours of shoot em up fun.- Read Guest's review (107 words)
