i had purchased a phone (Nokia 3710) off ebay which was unlocked, however it was branded to another service, which was incredibly annoying. I had searched everywhere for a way to get rid of it, and then i typed in 'generic de-branding firmware' and voila fonefunshop popped up ! Like anyone, i was a bit skeptical, being so many frauds out in the wide world web, but i was blown away by how simple it all was. Easy to navigate website, the product that i wanted (for a very old phone). Purchased... (read more)

I have always been cautious about sending money via the internet because there are so many scams out there. The unlocking service from FoneFunShop is not one of them. This genuine service is fast and efficient. It took less than 24 hours from payment to having my Samsung Galaxy unlocked from "O2" and up and running on my Spanish "Movistar" network. The opportunity to read the unlocking instructions on your web site, (before parting with my money), convinced me that you were a legitimate... (read more)

I wanted to unlock a spanish alcatel (smartphone) from the operator Yoigo, and I visited first some local shops where no one could do a thing. Some even told me that there was a problem with the simcard reader and that the repair would cost 40 quids, which, after 1 week of waiting couldnt be done! Then, luckily me, i found this online shop and i decided to send the phone there, considering i was taking no risk at all after the other experiences. What a surprise was to see how, in less than... We do not lie, i already told you it was not delivered but was delivered the next day.
i have cctv of out side our store 24 hours a day, no delivery of any mail was attempted due to snow that day.
I already explained this to you and have spoken with royal mail too.
their take on it is that they attempted to get to our store but could not get there to complete the delivery. Which i thought was pathetic too.
We have no reason to lie about something being delivered to us, why would we??? its pointless.
your phone was already bricked when you sent it, hence you sent it for boot repair.
we repaired your boot but you had also damaged your flash chip, so we couldn't flash it to finish the job.
you were also refunded too.
so why on earth you leave a review like this is beyond me.
We spent a lot of time trying to repair your tablet, and did not charge you a penny, any other company would charge you for their time.
I guess some people simply do not listen to facts when things dont go their way. and feel to slander our company simply out of spite.

The repair required desoldering a damaged micro USB port and soldering a new one in place. For ~£30 inc. insured postage, these chaps had the phone repaired and delivered back to me in four days, which presumably included them waiting on delivery of the spare part. Hi,
We had a bad week last week, so thank you for your patience. We have 4 servers and the one that hosts our easy unlock finder system was haveing a meltdown lastweek. We couldnt upload to our servers either due to a routing issue, so couldnt post anything about the problem either.
This is why we have a telephone number on the site so you can get hold of us when things like this happen, unlike many other companies operating online.
We use the 0844 number because we have 3 lines and the 0844 will split and cue the calls between the lines to help you get though. if you call the 0114 number chances are it will be engaged as we get a lot of calls here.
Ayway, im glad you got it done despite the problems we were having with our front end website.
Rest assured we are here if anyone has a problem with any order from us, and iPhone unlocking is our speciality too.
Thanks for the review, its much appreciated
All the best,
Mark

we never guarentee to unlock any handset.
What you may not understand is there can be different avenues to get an unlock code
our system will normally offer the cheapest.
i dont know what model your phone is, but for example:
if you have an HTC locked to orange and you go to order an unlock code, our system would offer a MANUFACTURERS CODE because these are cheap and fast.
if for any reason it isnt in the database, we tell you, then also offer a chance to resubmit.
If you resubmit, it would submit it as an orane unlock code, which take longer and are more expensive.
I think maybe if you understood this you wouldnt be so upset.
did you speak to any of our staff?
did you ask whats the best way to get your phone unlocked?
im sure if you did this, rather than using your time to write this review they would tell you the best way to go about getting your phone unlocked.

Obviously hit a nerve with this company, I thank you for your reply allbeing it rather sarcastic. firstly the way you conduct your contacting customers leaves a lot to be desired , for me to find out that you could not unlock my phone .
You did not contact me. I checked on your website and found you had refunded my payment.
I do understand how the system works and have since had my IPHONE 4S unlocked by Orange for £20.00
Spending my time writing a review ? i thought that was the purpose of this website to tell the truth.
I stated facts but you sem to take exception to the truth.
If you wish to play table tennis emails be my guest.

This is what actually happened....
You bought the faraday bags and supplied an address to ship them to.
We did as instructed, and shipped them to you promptly, we also emailed you the tracking number
the parcel came back to us with a note from royal mail stating the address was incomplete.
We emailed you to let you know about the problem with no response.
Then when you finally emailed us to confirm the address was ok, i agreed to re-ship (at our cost may i add !)
You then thanked me by opening a paypal none receipt dispute imiddiately after i agreed to reship !!! with no mention of this whatsoever !
Do you think we will ship anything to anyone who does this kind of thing, after i kindly agreed to reship.
Especially with it not being delivered the first time arround.
i couldnt beleive you opened a dispute , when i had agreed to reship it to you 10 minutes ago !!
I found your actions very rude and told you i would not ship the item with a dispute open.
you ignored me, so i refunded your money and cancelled your order.
then you come here and leave a bad review !!
we are the ones who are out of pocket with the sipping costs, caused by you supplying a bad address, or your postman who cannot find you.

hi,
<br/>
<br/>lets get the facts clear here.
<br/>
<br/>You purchased a credit to debrand your phone.
<br/>
<br/>you used said credit and server to flash the phone with BRANDED firmware. instead of using DEBRANDED firmware.
<br/>
<br/>So basically you RE-BRANDED your phone, and wasted the credit by making this mistake, instead of reading the instructions that CLEARLY tells you to tick GENERIC firmware.
<br/>
<br/>You then asked for another credit, i checked the server and saw you had used it already to flash your phone and told you you would have to buy another.
<br/>
<br/>You then raised a paypal dispute stating not as described, which is a bit of a lie, as you used the credit wrongly.
<br/>
<br/>when i explained the above to paypal, sending server report showing your ip and the use of the credit to flash the phone, they agreed that you received and used the credit. hence you lost your paypal claim.
<br/>
<br/>

<br/>2) I did not get any refund.
<br/>3) I asked for information about a service that you advertised.
<br/>4) Your response was rude and unprofessional.
<br/>5) You only took the advertisement offline after my complaint here.
<br/>
<br/>That's why I gave a one star review. I hope you took something out of it and treat your customers as such.
