    Good Points: one key browser

Bad Points: simple functions like recognizing vcard formats, MPEG3 music files, etc. a bit slow

General comments: The Samsung DuoS D880 is not the best phone but it's good if you are keeping one local SIM card and one card on international roaming.

Wanted dual sim because I work abroad and having two phones is a pain, but it is better than this pos! Would rather have two Nokia phones than this Samsung DuoS D880,hope to god Nokia bring one out soon. Can't get used to Samsung and constant rebootes when you swap sims.

The main problem with this Samsung DuoS D880 phone is the quality of the second line,it is much poorer/weaker than first line, using bluetooth headset or car kit? then forget the second line there will be no volume. This is well known fault, other than that its a nice phone although the price is high for quality of build, great idea but flawed..

Nice combination of the 2 sims. I am currently using the Samsung DuoS D880 because I can get some advantages with mobifone and vinaphone in Vietnam at the same time.I have to say the camera's photos in enough light are in great quality that can be compared with 3MP from Sony Ericsson. The sliding mechanism is not bad, overall quality is acceptable and worth the price.Battery life without using camera and music player is really good like my expectation - around 3 days - just 10 short calls, 20 sms ...

I did have good use of its dual sim feature. Not really into gadget special feature so that shouldn't be a problem for me and that goes the same for battery life, most of the time my phone is simply on standby mode to wait for calls or messages so battery power is basically unused even for long hours. For a simpler lifestyle I guess this piece is good enough.

I've bought this model just for the dual sim capability in order to take advantage from the different pricing policies between mobile phones companies.
The quality of the material is not the best but is quite acceptable. The battery cover could be much more stiff and firm. I've realised that it has a very good camera in daylight shots. The camera mode is activated really fast in this model. The camera functions are plenty and very useful. As with most mobile phones the shots in dark place are po ...

Nice phone. Easy to use and good quality! Good looking phone with nice and easy features. Somebody wrote that you need to switch between primary sim if you want to make phonecalls or write text messages from the other simcard. That's not true. You can use both simcards at the same time. You can switch between very easily when you select the person who you want to call and press the small button on the leftside of the phone to select your simcard.
Had a bit of a problem to find out were I could ...

I am really disappointed the Samsung DuoS D880, as it failed to live up to my expectations. While recieving text and calls from both SIMS is a plus, I wish I could have made calls and send text messages from either SIM as easy. Very sad as I have spent a lot of money on this product. It's been a waste of money

I was lead to believe that this phone was a true Tri-band phone, but I recently discovered that only the primary SIM slot supports Tri-band, while the secondary only works on European networks. Good if you often travel to Europe. Bad if you want to take advantage of the DUOS functionality in the USA, or the Latin-American market.

Will have to wait for the SGH-D980, which will be Tri-band for both SIM cards.

I had hoped that all major mobile phone manufacturers would follow the idea of 2 sim cards in 1 phone. It seems that even Samsung has discontinued the model, without a replacement, which is a great shame.

The Samsung DuoS D880 is so easy to switch between sims and you decide which one is primary and you want to call from ... and can receive calls on both...if you leave menu and come back you get the same part of menu when you left... when you dial the 3rd digit in the number you try to call you get a list of all numbers that include that 3 digits whether you called them or they called you even if the number is not in your phonebook.

I've got exactly the same situation as explained above: only one card's working. I suspect it's because both SIMs are trying to register themselves in the same network (they are from different providers, one from the States the other from Canada, but here we have technically only ONE GSM network so far...). I was sure there's some workaround, a trick or something - but failed to find it. Other than that the phone looks great, but, unfortunately, doesn't leave up to the main promise: doesn't supp ...

I have always been a Nokia person, but the Samsung DuoS D880 phone has managed to lure me away from them, i only jumped ship because of the dual capacity, and once i got used to the space button being in a different place i was fine,.

Got the Samsung DuoS D880 phone from a seller in HongKong. Shipping was as said. It seems like one sims work at a time. Phone does not do what it says. No help from the net, seller or Samsung.

I have looked all over the internet trying to find Samsung DuoS D880 support with no luck. Their web site forces you to specify a country and none of the countries I can find offers the D880 so I am up against s stone wall. I bought the phone on eBay from a dealer importing these in Hong Kong and he is no help. So, this phone is useless for me and I am VERY disappointed.I would be very cautious about buying this phone. It sounds like a great idea but I have spent over $400 and have a phone that ...
