Good Points: Very fine detailed sound. Well balanced with great instrument separation and very clear projection. Bass is very dry, which can make it sound a little light-weight compared to some other speakers, but it is accurate and articulate so it is easy enough to follow what notes are being played. When positioned correctly, stereo imaging is pretty much 'pin-point' - but positioning has to be done with care. Tri-amping these speakers really helps show what they can do but for best results use aktiv crossovers as well.

Bad Points: They are hardly massive-looking, being only a bit over three feet high and much less than a foot wide - so it doesn't like you've got much for your money, until you hear them.
Tops are flat, which tends to encourage people to put things on top of them!
To make them really sing, they need partnering with amplification costing at least as much as they do.

General comments: The sound you get for your money - my first pair were around £2400 new - is as clear and detailed as anything else at the price, provided they are driven from a high-quality source by decent aktiv amplification. They are easy enough to find on the second-hand market - presumably being sold by people who are upgrading to the Keltiks (at more than twice the price).
They really let you hear the music properly without having any particular vices.
