I wouldnt touch this company with a barge pole. This society has a go slow policy. I was promised a payout for a particular amount, it was halved. They promised to pay my benefit prior to Christmas, they paid it out 6 weeks after the due date. My children and I went without at Christmas, because they couldnt process the claim in time for the payroll, all of the information was passed to them a week before the payroll date. “Does what it says on the tin....”

Like the other reviewer, my financial adviser told me not to pay for the optional savings bit as it was c**p, but that the actual income protection bit was superb. I checked it out with some mates who work in the industry and they said I couldn't get better cover anywhere else. Not had to claim yet but surely their statistics showing high payouts must be verified? Cost wise, they are far cheaper than the 'big' insurance companies. (read more)

I had a claim paid out. I'm self-employed and do motocross and I went through and independent financial adviser who fully explained what I was getting. Because my job and sport are risky, she showed me that they were massively cheaper that what the other insurance companies would have charged. They did have an expensive version that included savings but she advised me to go for the cheaper option.
