I have had this SatNav for approx 2.5yrs and it is only for occasional use. I really had to use it in earnest last week for a business trip to Northern Ireland and apart from a few 'missed turns' due to lack of map updates I had no real cause to complain.

On the last day of my stay, I booted it up from the hotel room to get directions ...fine but it would not switch off, eventually drained the battery. now it won't boot up at all! green charging light and nothing else.

Tried the ususal resets etc. but nothing ....seem this is not a unique problem with TomTom.

Although 2.5 yrs old it's only been used a handfull of times so it's been expensive journeys in that respect!
