I bought an oil filter for my BMW from the Nottingham Road shop. When I got home I discovered the oil filter supplied was a used one that had been returned or exchanged by a previous customer. Disgusting behaviour by staff. Annoyingly, I had to travel over 6 miles for an exchange. Customers beware. This was a one off but I could not believe it happened.

Good availability of products, at good prices and with 48 hour free delivery. Having local branches with good stock levels also makes things accessible if you wish to get the parts same day. Also good for click and collect if that's your desired buying process. 2 Issues for me: 1. Some of ECP's prices differ across channels which I detest. When I was looking for my specific vehicle service parts, they were more expensive on eBay than on the ECP site. 2. Using the 'car registration' search system on the ECP site - which gives you alternative products by different manufacturers and price - also often gives you a choice of incompatible products on the results page. Example being different size air or oil filters. This means it defeats the object and you still need to confirm compatibility with Euro Car Parts, by email, chat, or phone. I can see this causing higher than expected stress and returns.

Called at bredbury branch, first time used Euro, wanted brake discs and pads. Had already keyed in on click and collect and would have thought items be waiting. However it was me kept waiting After a while the assistant manged to work out it was click and collect he studied the order I had printed with ref no. After he played around with computer for some time. Disappeared came back no mention of my order. After about10/15 mins they appeared and were begrudgingly passed over the counter. I then asked what would happen if I wanted to arrange collection of item at their branch that was not on the shelf as it was the nearest. . I was met with no idea mate! . I think the click and collect idea is really very good, but at this first visit think service was mediocre at best. Will try them again just see how it goes.

Bolton Branch would have got 5 stars but the Warrington store let them down. Treated at the Bolton store very good and was very happy with the service and never had any problems if i needed to return anything which was rare at bolton. Bolton did not have what i wanted so i went to the Warrington store, They keep you waiting even if no ones waiting , they look at you and just ignore you, i walked out twice because of this but i really needed an item, When i got someone to serve me, they sold me a brake caliper then refused to take my old one saying it was not serviceable, it was!!!, so i did not get any money back for returning the old one. then i had to return the brake discs as they were faulty and they again tried to spin me some bull, They gave me a replacement in the end after loads of hassle. Bolton Branch = keep up the good work Warrinton Branch = You should be closed down

First things first, the positives; The registration finder, exceptionally useful tool, Or The drop down menu selector, again exceptionally easy, and useful. The navigational bar is also very professional, and the website maintains the companies colour's throughout. Now onto the negatives; The first 2 positives I mentioned could be in a more noticeable place, maybe I'm being a bit harsh but is could really help out future users. Another negatives is that the 'refunds and returns' area is third on the main bar! Surely its there due to high demand right? Not a good sign to potential customers. I own a website in a similar business, where we sell discount used car parts for all makes and models, and even a selection of fully taxed, MOT'd and guaranteed used vehicles of all shapes and sizes. We would definitely be interested in creating this registration feature that this website uses so well in the near future, thank you a lot for the inspiration and general ideas that we could add to our site. Well done indeed.
