Had this Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXF149 since it was new to the market, no problems except with mildew on the door seal, even though we never shut the door when its not in use, however this could be down to us not using the boil setting from time to time.
Never give any problems, does what it says on the tin

The Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXF149 is super silent in use - cant hear the machine washing - spin cycles are very quiet - wash results comparable to Miele machines. Quick wash is brilliant. Machine can be paused and the door can be opened after the cycle has commenced for that sock you dropped on the stairs..... Child lock and delay start are useful features. Large wash bag provided for duvets / pillows. Spin speed of 1400rmp appears more efficient than other machies of similar speed - reducing ...

After 18 months, the pump on my Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXF149 stopped and it look a very reliable local repair company a long time to source the new part.
Three months later, the whole thing has conked out after behaving erratically, refusing to switch off, putting the child lock on itself, etc.
Reading the other postings, having tried a selection of different wash cycles, detergents and fabric conditioners, I have now finally worked out what the mildew smell is!

I think this will probably apply to all Aqualtis models - for some reason the machine becomes smelly. Perhaps it gets water trapped in somewhere like the sump.
Trouble is, we didn't think to blame the washing machine for some time as it was new, and we'd never had any similar problems with other machines.
Searching for answers, I chanced on information from a washing machine engineer - this machine needs a boil wash monthly using bio enzyme powder such as Ariel. You can do this using whites o ...

I wouldn`t buy another Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXF149 because of a Mildew problem. Door seal was covered in foul smelling mildew after 1 year. Unable to clean properly and smell and more mildew is constant. Never had this prob before and don`t know anyone who has. My last machine lasted 10 years with no bother at all. That was a hotpoint too but my loyalties will go elsewhere now.
