Whenever the clothiers go through a wash I would always wsh them again....there is scum on every wash, I've cleaned the drum several times and am getting fed up! My last hotpoint Aquarius had no such issues. Is it just mine or do others have the me problem, is there a way I can resolve it?

Have had this machine for at least 5 years. Constant problems with mould in the draw and on seal have to regularly bleach draw. Tried using different types of detergent powder/liquids, in the draw and in the drum. Run regular 90 degrees wash, but doesn't help. Have to use 'thin, runny' fabric conditioner as otherwise it doesn't clear from draw and clogs up. VERY noisy when spinning, have to shut the kitchen door as so loud. On and off leaking. RUBBISH. I keep waiting for it to break down completely to justify buying a new one!

i have had my machine for nearly two years, and i see more of the engineer than i do of my husband, it leaked for six months, i have had at least three new mother boards, the draw builds up mildew and the smell if i dont run a boil wash evry month is awful. I have become a dab hand at hand washing and with a husband and three kids thats not fun. Waiting for teh engineer yet again to replace yet another mother board. the only things i do like are the wash size and the child lock. I have had hotpoint before the last one lasted 8 years this one wont make may at this rate.

I concurr with 95% of the above comments, have been meaning to change the bearings for a while now, but the machine is in constant use.
Even concord didn't make that much noise.

A washing machine is supposed to get your clothes clean - right? This one doesn't, it just doesn't. Tried changing washing powder/liquid, doubling up the dose, putting powder/liquid in the dispenser, in the drum, both in the drum and dispenser, washing it through again, putting it on different washes, even a boil wash and they still don't come clean. It is nice and quiet, but to be honest, that's the only plus. I've read other reviews, and I've got mildew as well. Plus there's a funny smell around it. I clean it regularly, but the mildew comes back. It's a pile of rubbish, sorry I ever set eyes on it.

We have had the machine just over 2 yrs and have the same problem of mildew buildup aroung the seal and in the detergent drawer. Hotpoint helpine have change number and we no go through to INDESIT who have said problem not covered in 5yr parts an labour warranty would have to pay £99 for labour and they would provide free seal - sooo nice of them. They had audacity to blame mildew buildup my use of liquid gel detergents (and liquid tabs) and have said there is nothing that can be done about this. Have always purchased hotpoint ish I ad known about this issue prior to purchase. From what I have read paying to replace seal will not help as problem will still be re-occuring - happy shopping

this is my second hotpoint and i should of learnt the first time, its only 7 months old and sound like a train, my first the bearings went at 13 months old,, says it all really, they are not the cheapest on the market and i thought by spending the extra money i would get quality, but no,

Our machine will now go to the scrapyard as it is only 18 months old and has been a nightmare from the day it was bought.
we will never purchase Hotpoint again.
