    Good Points: Modern Colour can't think of anything else to say about machine


    Bad Points: See below.


    General comments: My Hotpoint CTD40T failed within 4 weeks of purchasing, and was repaired under warranty. Then managed to last 3 weeks over its 12 month warranty!! Three attempts to fix by Hotpoint engineers still couldn't fix it.

    I have had this Hotpoint CTD40T for less than two years and already its has been written off. The machine is extremely noisy and kept cutting out due to condensation collecting behind the condenser unit which needs to be kept dry. Would not recommend this dryer the newer models have been updated.

    I wish I hadn't bought a Hotpoint CTD40T but I was desperate! The room this tumble dryer is in gets very hot, the machine is slow to dry and the fluff filter isn't too good, because loads gets let through. I find it it very noisy and to top it off the door latch is 'iffy'. I do not recommend this machine.

    I recommend this dryer if you want a cheap silver condensor dryer from a brand that can be trusted!Large capacity for the condensed water meaning it does not need emptying every 20 mins and has a light on front and auto stop function when the water tank is at full capacity. Easy to clean fluff filter also. It does exactly what it says on the tin and i give it 8 out of 10!

    Mine is just 2 years old and I have had to replace the heater element at a cost of 55.00 not that i use it everyday
    I think it is noisy for a dryer
