The Indesit Dryer broke down twice in 6 months leaking water and ruining my kitchen units. Indesit were very polite but did nothing to repair any of the damage that their faulty appliance caused.

We have had this machine for about 8 months now. In that time we have had the engineer out twice to replace the pump.
The first engineer explained that it is a common problem - an "elastic band" breaks. The second repair was for the same fault.
I expect a consumer product like this to give around 5 years service life - it looks as if we will get a year, and only that because of the warranty.
I implore on anyone considering buying this machine - don't!!
I only wish I had read the reviews before ...

I have had this Indesit IS70C dryer for two years exactly normal use still looks brand new from the outside. It started to make loud noises and then the light has come on so that it will look as if it is working but the light on means there is no heat. water has stopped being collected in the top. when we got it apart the tiny rubber bit on the pump has broke but you have to buy a new part. £25ish. £99 for a callout means you just aswell buy a new one but different make!!!

The Indesit IS70C is not bad as a dryer - but the heater element has gone after just 12 1/2 months. Would not buy again.

Within 2 months we had an engineer out to sort out the Indesit IS70C filters flooding, despite being clear and dust free. He then had to return 3 months later sort out the same job. Now the heater element has gone after 12 months and am in two minds whether to replace or just get something else.

I was bought an Indesit IS70C Condenser Dryer as a moving in present by my mum 3 years ago. At first it was brilliant, easy to use and did the job. At around 2 years old, the door catch stopped working properly. It appeared the door had dropped on the catch side so it wasn't fitting as snugly, so when the clothes inside it pushed against the door the connection was broken and the dryer stopped. I had an Indesit engineeer come out and had a new door fitted to the dryer, but within 3 weeks the sam ...

I have had my is70c for just two years. It has had moderate use serving a family of four. Last week it tripped the circuit breakers so i decided to investigate the problem. after a couple of hours tinkering i failed to find the problem, but i did find that the thrust bearing at the rear had worn completely through and had just started to grind the spindle. This has allowed the drum to drop slightly towards the rear, this caused noise and poor drying performance due to heat escaping through a gap ...

Our Indesit IS70C has never worked properly. The clothes never came out totally dry,i only had it for a year and pump broke, cost over £100 to fix and now over a year and a half after purchasing it there is soot out of the back of it and told it will breakdown all together very soon, the customer service is poor and indesit seem to refuse to accept that there is anything wrong with the design of their product.

Good drying, but the Indesit IS70C is so noisy I cannot stand it for much longer, have to use it when no one in the house as they complain. Not had it long, but am dying to get rid of it.

The fan on my Indesit IS70C keeps breaking at the back - makes load whirring noise before eventually packs in altogether I've had 2 of these and same fault - Indesit service levels and assistance and willing to accept design flaw all extremely poor.

I've had my Indesit IS70C for just over a year and the whole machine is filling with water in the back of it. It also kept blowing the electric in the house. When I tipped the machine forward it all came running out. I have kept the filters clean so I'm very disappointed, I haven't even finished paying for it and of course its passed its garuntee. Furthermore a fuse blew within the first year and it stopped heating. I would say: 'don't buy one'.

My IS70C broke down after 13 months, contacted Indesit they did not even reply! It was the door switch that stopped working after 13 months.

Previous to buying one of these Indesit tumble dryers, I had a Whirlpool condenser dryer through Brighthouse, which in honesty took an age to dry anything, and the sensor function always stopped the machine way before t he clothes were dry. It also felt a bit cheap, despite it having all sorts of digital whistles and bells on it. I then saw this dryer in my Littlewoods catalogue alongside a Hotpoint one. I was going to order the Hotpoint, but all the reviews I read said to avoid it like the plag ...

Good large capacity, but quiet noisy and has got louder over the last 6 months. Have had this dryer for 12 months and 1 week, and now it is out of warranty it has broke! Typical! Heating element gone, door not detecting it is open and continuing to dry (very dangerous for children) and blowing out mains when you do try and use it. Really disappointed, as it seems so promising. I would recommend spending an extra £20 and going for a better make.
