We had to get the first one replaced because it broke - Morphy Richards did this. We used the second one for under 6 months and it broke again and they would only offer a discount on the current model because the warranty was out of date. The problem in both cases is that the iron indicates that a new filter is required - when a new one is purchased and installed it still indicates a new filter is required and wont produce steam. The Morphy Richards 42288 is good quality, value for money. Replaced more expensive model from the Bosch range which let me down badly so much happier with this one. Comes with a two year guarantee as standard - no extra charge. Registering guarantee online was simple.

Recommended for us with mesh-based ironing board to get maximum advantage of the high steam output - it will iron both sides of the item and you need only use a little steam to do it. The iron reverts to being a dry iron at... (read more)

Excellent steam output. Quick to heat. Long cord and easy to use. Bright purple iron which is a bit too luminous. Good for storing. Good value for the money. The iron is quite small compared to other makes. It is also a light iron. I prefer heavier and larger iron plates. Also it would be better if it had an easy grip handle. (read more)
