“4 replacements due to faults”

I absolutely adore this toothbrush when it works, and it has worked for 6 months each time I have had a new replacement. However, I am now on my fourth new one, all replacements because they keep becoming faulty. Each time the vibrating shaft breaks and fails to vibrate the head of the the brush. On one of the replacements it had a weird electrical wobbly as well and started to pulse on and off even when it was apparently switched off. It is a tragedy that a company with such a good... Its a great brush in its cleaning performance but very expensive. And in the two years Ive had it its been replaced once (the vibrating shaft cracked) and then 12 months later started to spontaneously turn it self on before finally conking out.
Phillips need to make to more durable.

In the two years I have owned this brush I have had to return it and get it replaced on 4 separate occasions. Not one of the brushes lasted more than a year and although Philips are happy to replace the brushes within the warranty period, they refuse to acknowledge that there is a design fault. From reading may other review sites it seems this is a common problem and I have even found suppliers unwilling to stock it anymore due to the large number of returns. (read more)

The Philips Sonicare FlexCare HX6982/10 with UV Sanitiser is a fantastic toothbrush, and probably the best on the market at present. I would read the reviews at the forum on www.howtobrushyourteeth.co.uk and they also have it cheaper there than I have seen it elsewhere (about £90 or something). (read more)
