We went into buy a digital camera, now we usually have a look and then do some research, but we came across Mike Warren who is not only a fantastic salesman but someone you can really trust, he showed us a camera that he himself uses and he knew all about its functions and how to use it and it was not just a pitch to sell. Purchased a TV from their website, Panasonic TXP42VT30. I live near one of their stores but the TV was actually a few £££'s cheaper online (although I now believe they would have matched the online price in the shop). Went in to store and the staff seemed very knowledgable, pleasant and pleased to help. The TV was delivered within 24 hours of me ordering it, and the TV is brilliant. I went to buy a playstation 3 and then they told me they did not have any in stock and that I could go and pick one up from a store about an hour away from me. When I explained how far away it was from me, they offered to pick it up for me free of charge and bring it back down to this store ready to be picked up tomorrow. They were as good as their word and I was very impressed with the customer service. Very friendly. (read more)

I was very dubious about purchasing from this company as I could only find bad reveiws on-line. However as the price was the best I could find I thought I would give them a try. I found a voucher on PrudentPanda which gave an aditional £5 off but was unable to enter it at the checkout. I ordered it anyway as I said the price was already good. Website had a problem during payment, Credit card debited twice. Delivery due on 24th December. Did not arrive by 31st December. Cancelled order and purchased elsewhere. Had one refund, still waiting for the other. Made over 22 calls over the last two days but still no answer. Emails not responded to. Appalling customer service. Will NEVER USE AGAIN!

The worse company ever! tried to get a refund as when calling to see where my item was they said they were out of stock and would be another 3 weeks! but didnt bother to inform me than took many calls to get refund but still no refund as yet!!! DONT BUY FROM THEM! (read more)

Bennetts took my money, and 5 days later informed me they didn't deliver to Northern Ireland.
I have spent hours in their telephone queue trying to get a refund only to be given the same story about the UK banking system being slow. emails have been ignored. I can see this ending up in the small claims court.
Please please please take my advice.... DO NOT USE BENNETTS!!
There are plenty of competitors who will give a better service!..... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! (read more)

Bennetts.... what can I say? Telephone queuing only to be cut off. Emails ignored. Order cancelled by Bennetts, and finding difficulty in getting a refund - will possibly lead to court action!
I use online ordering often, yet I have never come across a retailer offering so little customer service. My advice.... don't touch them with a bargepole unless you have hours to waste chasing your purchase!! :( (read more)

Things must have changed since the last 2 reviews in 2008. We had no problems with communications and received e-mails for each stage of the order process. Goods arrived fast in just 2 days and in excellent condition despite Xmas on its way with companies like Bennetts at their busiest time of year. Thanks go to Bennetts staff for an efficient service.
No gripes from us.

Bought a television from Bennetts, were informed they where out of stock and where awaiting a further 24 televisions from Philips to arrive, 1 week later no phone calls, just an e-mail saying they have cancelled the order because Philips have ceased making that model, Not so much of a problem you say. We would never use Bennetts Electrical again, in fact we cancelled our order. Cancelling the order and getting a refund has proven to be harder than getting a delivery date. Misled us about delivery dates, unhelpful, delivery service they use only delivers on Tuesdays and Fridays between 7am - 7pm, with no more specific times available. No phone calls or emails to keep us updated (read more)
