I completed my IVA in February and they have still not cleared my name of the Insolvency Register and given all sorts of excuses. So be warned when you think you have finished and made all the payments there is still a major struggle to get Debt Free Direct to finalise everything. I expect DFD will leave a comment - "contact customer services and we will sort this out" We have been in contact for weeks and each time you reply with a "fob off" email - get it sorted!!! no more excuses please. I have found the IVA solution perfect for my needs, I was only just failing on my unsecured debts of around 30K due to six month off work sick and the smooth service from debtfree direct was fast and painless. With the promise of a Debt Free future I embarked on a 5 year IVA with Debt Free Direct around 6.5 years ago. Throughout the term of the IVA Debt Free Direct handled my case well. Very helpful in fulfilling annual reviews and altering the terms of the IVA when necessary. As with all of the positive comments seen on this forum, I too would have rated DFD 5 stars, throughout the setup process and the support provided throughout the term of the IVA. I too had those same thoughts of "all my worries are over" and "I will have my life back after 6 years". It is after those 6 years that my nightmare truly started and I feel I am worse off now than I was all those years ago. Debt Free DIrect did indeed request that I contact customer services with regards to my initial complaint and I did so as I have done on many, many occasions before and made absolutley no progress at all. Good luck to all for a better experience and a succesful conclusion to your IVA. I am sure my day will come!
