I've been receiving assistance from an agent at Countrywide for nearly a year and he consistently provides exceptional service. Any time I've reported an issue he has responded promptly and and always kept me up to date on the process of solving the issue. He has never let any issues go on for an unreasonable amount of time and always considers the perspective of the tenant. It's always a pleasure to speak to him because of this, and his friendly, kind manner makes any difficult discussions easy as he always understands my concerns as a tenant. Overall, working with him will not be a regret and I hope to stay in this property much longer, knowing the support and assistance is consistently outstanding.

“End of Tenancy”

I’m a first time landlord. My experience has been made easier by the countrywide team. As a landlord I feel I should be able to say if the tenants are entitled to their deposit or not, following the inspection. This process was made easier by an agent. He took on board my views and concerns and responded accordingly, with a fair and positive outcome.

She was very professional, helpful and very informative. She took over my deposit claim from one of her staff who was handling my deposit claim for more than 5 weeks. “Deposit and one month rent.”

I love how she got my deposit and a month's extra payment that I paid to my landlord without knowing I paid an extra month. Guess what? She sorted it out for me. I never knew that there are still good people these days because the world is upside down! I will say, she is the best and most fair person that I have ever spoken to online that dealt with my case humanly. My ex-landlord left his house unrepaired and I have to spend my money on repairing things on the property likewise paying the rentals till the last minute I stayed in that house. But, after moving out of the property, my ex-landlord was not willing to return my deposit back to me. Then I spoke toher on the phone and in less than 2 weeks, she got my deposit back and also she find out that I paid an extra month's rent. Finally, she got the deposit + the one-month rent money back to my bank account. The whole world wants someone like her these days who sorts out things fairly! Thank you so much, for your help and God bless you.

“Countrywide are about to close all their uk accounts...”

Countrywide are about to close all their uk accounts centres and relocate to INDIA. Making masses of people redundant - the redundancy will almost certainly work out to coincide with Christmas - if they get their timing right. Yet another fat cat company making their money off the backs of people in this country then spending it outside the UK.

I will be removing all my properties from their 'management' They are a disgrace.

Haha you all make me laugh everybody i know whos with Countrywide are happy but then again we pay our bills on time it states in your leases that you have to pay in advance but some people dont i bet thats every single person who has complained i bet you pay by monthly standing order because you like to be awkward and still miss payments why should the company chase you up for every little thing dont they have other jobs to do like actually manage your building instead of yous messing up payments and querying every single payment?

I think this review if offensive. I have never missed a payment with them and find that them not repairing a dishwasher for over 2 months is a big deal considering I'm paying for the use of it!

This reviewer clearly does not actually live in a building managed by Countrywide. YOU try paying £2100 a year in service charges to own a flat in a building which 2 estate agents have told us is in such a state of disrepair they would very much struggle to sell a property in. YOU try finding £13,000 to pay for a new roof on a building which is only 7 years old. Keep your rude, pathetic opinions to yourself!

to the above reviewers: awwww diddums. You obviously don't seem to be aware of the fact that although you may be whiter than white and pay on time (I bet the bare minimum too) that there are others who do not pay at all. This means that the pot into which your monies go into is not enough to pay for things like the gardening, cleaning etc. Instead of moaning about how crap Countrywide is, why don't you try knocking on your neighbours doors and get them to cough up? Or do you live with a bunk of pikeys? Then you might find an improvement in service because they have the money to pay for it! Novel idea I know, having to pay for a service!

This review is obviously an exception to the rule that Countrywide are a terrible company who do not care about their clients. In my experience, and those of the other 15 people who share my block of flats, paying all our fees on time has not been a deciding factor at all in Countrywide not giving us running water for the past 3 weeks.

The reviewer has not made a factual report of Countrywide's performance but a personal judgement based on no real evidence which is offensive to the many wo pay their bills on time

I'm looking for some advice?! I recently received an invoice for over £3,500 for 'exterior repairs and decorations' from countrywide. This has been split from over £200,000 for all the flat owners, one block of flats somehow excluded for being owned by another management company. It is also due in 3 months, not long to raise that sort of cash. I can't see how on earth the cost is this high and I don't see why I should be having to pay towards it, especially the ludicrous figure. I've hardly seen any decoration or repair in two years that could lead to such a high charge. Other than requesting a breakdown of the cost and seeking help from the Citizens Advice Bureau I'm unsure what to do. Seems going to a tribunal is going to cost £500 or so and that in itself is a lot! Any advice would be appreciated?!

I, like many other live in a communal building managed by Countrywide Estate Management. I am speaking with all residence within my building and we are all in agreement that we would like to apply to manage our own building and appoint our own maintenance company. Can anyone help explain the process or procedures we now need to follow? Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I would not move to Countrywide, they are an all under one roof organisation and out of the 50 plus times I have dealt with them, both as a customer and from a 3rd party angle, I cannot say I feel my expectations have been satisfied. They are a large company and have some good aspects but for service and attention to detail and the personal touch and piece of mind I would look to a smaller more focused company that specialise in this area. Hope this is of help

I unwittingly ended up with Countrywide when I let my property through what I thought was a local agent - an absolute nightmare - left me several thousands of pounds out of pocket - complete mismanagement from start to finish, couldn't provide the information I needed to provide my solicitor to launch a court case against previous tenants ......because staff had left .... so they didn't even keep a proper file on my property, couldn't respond to many of many complaints for the same reason and I'm now in the process of making a formal complaint to ARLA who have had a huge number of their regulations broken by Countrywide in my case alone - you couldnt pay me enough money to ever use countrywide again.
