Good Points: Deep, dark sound. Especially beautiful low notes. Sweet, mellow sound in the middle register. Nice bright sound in the high register. Useful E flat/G sharp key. Silver plated. Select grenadilla.
Bad Points: It takes time to get used to the instrument.
General comments: Overall, the Festival creates a round, sweet sound. It is a great choice for any professional. Second only to the Tosca. I definitely recommend the Buffet-Crampon Festival.

I own a pair of Buffet Festivals - they really do make a lovely sound and the workmanship is sound. My only gripe is that the intonation isn't very consistent throughout the instrument. This wouldn’t be a problem for a professional. Anyone studying at University etc… would probably be better off with something more reliable.- Read VRT's review (62 words)
