    Yesterday I made enquiries on the internet regarding a Royal Carribean cruise booking for four people in twelve months time. Within 10 minutes I had received a telephone call from a very pleasant young man (unfortunately I didn't note his name) who gave me a total cost figure (per person)for the cruise, on board gratuities and flights. He was however unable to give me a price for a two night stay in LA at the end of the cruise as the department which dealt with that was closed (10.45pm)but he would ring me the following afternoon with a price. As I had heard nothing by 6.45pm I rang Gills. The young man managed to find the information I had requested after trying to ascertain why I had not received my promised phone call (to no avail). He firstly couldn't find the cruise or the ship and it was obvious he didn't know where the Mexican Riveiera is situated as he asked me if the starting point was in Florida. However the hotel stay price was acceptable but he then informed me that the cruise price was now some £372 more than stated the previous evening as they had sold out of the ones at the original price quoted. After an exchanged of words (to say I was angry is an understatement)he spoke to his manager who said they could now offer the cruise at ONLY £255.64 per person above the original quote. He then asked if I would like to jot down the reference number for when I made the firm booking. He was amazed, in fact almost speechless, when I pointed out that I would not now, or ever, be booking a cruise through Gills. I pointed out to him that not only had I,in my opinion, been duped by being quoted what obviously was an unavailable price, had it changed twice more but also they (Gills) hadn't even kept their promise to ring me back. If this is the way they treat potential customers then I hate to think as to how customers who have actually paid are treated. My wife and I have previously been on six cruises and intend going on a few more but never ever will we book through this Company.

    we have the same problem with a credit card,and gills whos operator took £800 extra from my card and dident even ask for my permission,to use my card details by phoning back, to take the booking costs,knowing full well when they phoned back after 3 quotes that ,they asked my wife the details of,did not ask for me to come to the phone,knowing and in fact confirming,that, it was my card !!and i have their own recording to prove this,so the last minute bargain was in fact dearer than the firs ...

    Gills Cruise Centre have a nice phone manner,but useless on after sales service.
    had to cancel due to lack of interest(on their part).

    I can only praise Gills Cruises for the way they have helped my wife and I. We have booked many cruises with them and have ALWAY'S had A1 service,the staff are very friendly and obliging. On our last cruise we had trouble getting in touch with the car parking people but a lady from Gills spent a lot of time sorting things out for us and when I had a problem with the cruise co. a chap sorted that out so I will hear no bad things said about them.

    Gills Cruise Centre recommended an insurance company which I contacted and left a message on the answer phone. There was never a reply and I insured elsewhere. Useless to recommend an insurer which is unreliable and only available for a minimum amount of hours per week.

    I agree with a previous customer. Staff nice and friendly when booking. However don't want to know if you encounter a problem. Would not book with Gill's again. Family run business who obviously do not vet their staff.

    i booked a cruise over the phone the male then took all my credit card details. no confirmation arrived my cabin number changed after phoning all the time . my credit card statement arrived a month later the deposit of £200.00 had not been taken but a host of fraudulant transactions had. only myself and the male in the call centre had all my card details including the 3 digit security number. i have written to gills and been there to see them. this was to be a surprise for my husband for ...

    I called to book a cruise and I was very unsure of what I wanted. The staff at Gills Cruise Centre took the time to explain every little detail of each cruise line so that I found the perfect cruise for me, my wife and unfortunately the mother in law. Regardless of the fact that I am going on holiday with my mother inlaw I am sure that we will have a fantastic tiome on the Celebrity Summit. I would reccomend there service to friends and family if requested

    The Gills Cruise Centre have very friendly staff who knew exactly what i was looking for.

    In my view you should always go to a good established ABTA agent like GILLS who have been around for ages.

    Staff very friendly when we were booking but when we had problems they didn't want to help. In my experience don't care about their customers and if you have a problem the manager was always unavailable. There are better companies out there. We would not use Gills again

    I rang up Gills Cruise Centre to enquire about a cruise deal I had seen in the paper. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they gave me the quote for the holiday, I asked if they could give me a little while to think it over, they were very kind to offer to phone me back to give me time to think it over. When booking the holiday they made everything very simple for me as I was booking for two couples and needed to pay on two cards. I received my confirmation through the post a couple of day ...
