    Good Points: lots of people coming and going, superior bedrooms are lovely with good finishing touches. food is good with new special menu daily, the hotel is in easy reach of tourist places and snowdon


    Bad Points: bad phone signal apart from in the car park on the other side of the very busy very noisey road


    General comments: I really enjoyed my stay at the Tyn Y Coed hotel, the staff were helpfu and accommodating, the bars get really busy on a friday and saturday night so get in early but there is always the residents bar but it doesnt have the same atmosphere

    I have been going to this pub/hotel for the past few years now when I go down to Capel. The only problem I have ever had is that you need to be in there pretty early to obtain a seat. The staff have always been friendly enough and if asked any questions will do their best to give you an informative answer. Out of the pubs down there this one is definately my favourite.

    Only good thing about staying at Tyn Y Coed Hotel was the room which was nice. Location in Capel Curig good as well. Would have been helpful to have a small A4 or A5 map of immediate location to show walks available to those who were not intrepid walkers braving all weathers.

    Felt the website totally misrepresented the hotel in the way of food and restaurant. Staff were OK but not especially welcoming. Was glad to leave and would not recommend.
