Good Points: Nostalgia
Great collectible
Excellent Presentation

Bad Points: Japanese menus

General comments: I found the Transformers Generation 1 Box Set on Ebay when looking to replace my old VHS cassette collection. I only searched for Transfomers in the DVD section of Ebay on spec and this turned up. It was offered at around £25 shipped from Japan. The entire collection of the original generation 1 series (not the new Transformers Armada which pales by comparison to the original in my view) and the feature length movie. That's 98 episodes and a movie.

This came as a DVD wallet, 15 discs, with 10 limited edition post card animation slides, and a keyring, presented in a brushed metal presentation tin featuring the autobot emblem stamped onto it.

The discs are region 0 (i.e. an open region meaning all DVD players can play it, with the exception of very old players which do not recognise 0 as a valid region)

English spoken animation which is exactly that which was broadcast in the 80's. The only down side to this quite outstanding package is that the menus are in Japanese which is pain to start with but after working out which part of the sub menu does what is not an issue.
