Very good board for beginners. Don't take it for granted though because it may wear away easily because of the wood being soft.

United Skates - All in all for £20 there's not much wrong with it but compared to the better boards it's pop is rubbish, the deck wood is soft, the trucks are wonkey, the bearings are ok if kept clean and the wheels are soft. Alright for a begginer setup.

United Skates deck is strong and the graphics are cool too. But the trucks are wonky and my board always goes more to the left. Over all good value for money though, good if you're not into tricks yet.

I just got a United Skates deck for £20 and it is great for skating on ramps but on the street you can't slide as well.

I have got about 3 United Skates decks over the years and the first two were pure trash, but since I'm such a sucker for nice looking skate boards I got the new one which was the alien deck.
It flipped better and was no where near as heavy.

    Best one yet.

Everything on the United Skates board i.e. wheels deck etc are wide...fat!
    >The trucks are wonky...Even when I took them off and put them back on.
    >No pop...can't get decent ollies...or kickflips or anything:(
    >Way overpriced, boring to ride.
    >Can anybody recommend a decent upgrade for my united skates board? pleeese.

I got a United Skates board. It was heavy, it was thick, the trucks were rubbish, the bushings broke in 2 days, the wheels were rubbish, the bearings were very slow. My friend recently got a United Skates longboard. It was heavy, the trucks were alright, the bushings were pretty rubbish, there were no wheel wells so wheelbite was common, the trucks (now this is unforgiveable) were mounted wonky on the deck causing the board to always turn right. Now thats just poor workmanship.

    United Skates are good boards.
The trucks are well cool and abec 5 bearings are good, although I replaced them for abec 1 because I have only been skating seriously for 4 days. These are good to ollie on, I can already ollie a 2 set and in 4 days I am impressed with that. I think the graphics are cool, I got the rhino deck for only £20 quid, it's a good complete set up. I think there good but you know it's your choice

Where to start!. The decks are too wide, thick, and heavy. the kingpin sticks out so you can't grind. the wheels are too chunky, and the graphics totally such!!!
They only cost like £30, but I wouldn't buy another one(buy an ELEMENT, or FLIP).

United Skates boards are strong and durable and can last for a long time for beginners. There no good for intermediate skaters, they can snap very easily when ollieing or doing a kick flip and especially grinding. The trucks also come loose or too tight.

I brought a united skates deck the one with the rhino on it Has Very Good Convcave and it not to heavy but if you do big tricks like me this is not the board for you because it gets pressure cracks on the deck. I broken mine in 4 monthes after having it. It is a good deck for begginers but the truck are ace.

Its heavy, its wide, the deck is thick, the wheels are huge and the trucks are rubbish!!!Every time you tighten the trucks the hanger moves down and the kingpin sticks out! also the deck delaminates easily and gets preassure cracks, and while i'm at it, the bearings are slow and are made even slower by the wheels rubbing on the bottom of the deck!...oh yeah the grip wears out in no time, But if you are a beginner it is probably the best thing to buy so you can make your mind up if you even like s ...

The 'United Skates' boards are not too fab, but what can you expect for a £30 complete. I would not recommend them to anyone who is interested in taking up skateboarding as a hobbie, BUT! If you just fancy a skateboard you can store away and use every now and then, then this is the board for you.

This board is mostly for begginers because of the wideness of it and the fact that it is just the right weight. This is a wicked board make and i reccomend it to every one.

The first skate board I bought was a flip and I did find it very flippy and couldn't control it when I did ollies, then I bought my first united skates board (the 3 aliens one)it was very slow but light, I had it for about a year and learned alot on it, christmas I got my second united skates board which is very good however the deck is very boring it's plain green and says "100 percentage canadian maple wood" on the bottom with a united skates logo on bottom and top, this could just be the begg ...

Come on! ok the wheels and bearings are fine but i snapped my United Skates deck in two weeks!!! I'd recently snapped my blank R1 deck and needed a backup so i saw one for 30 quid. you could hear the boards cry for help every time you ollie a stairset until, after two weeks, it gave up the ghost.
