“BEST CREDIT BUILDER YET”

I have had this card around 15 months,Initially i was given a £250 credit limit but considering my credit file and score at the time was great.My limit sharply went from £250 to £750 Then to £1800 and now im on £3050.Overall had no complaints and my best advise is use this for credit building only dont ever have a high balance on it and where you can pay off in full every month to avoid interest.I have paid mine off in full every month since i got it and never paid 1p in interest… Read Full Review

“Do not release your money”

I accidentally overpaid on my account, their 'risk team' blocked the account and have been keeping my funds over a month now. Sending paperwork back and forth has not helped, customer service is rude 'you won't be seeing your money till you send in more paperwork' so I might have to look for legal advice or drive up to Sheffield to their call centre with a solicitor. Based on Trustpilot reviews, it's a pretty common occurrence so the service is unreliable and they block your money… Read Full Review

I applied for the Advance Card on 30th march 2015, pin arrived on 2nd April, still waiting on the credit card BUT my credit score has already risen significantly and I have been given a £900 starting limit (as seen on my credit file), which is very good considering my credit score. I am new to the UK and was interested in building my credit score. I did all the mandatory things like sign up to the electoral role etc. I then wen about opening an account with Experian so that I could actively manage my score (which was -2). Do not bother getting an aqua card.The customer service is a joke and you are charged very high interest. “Good Credit Card to build up your credit rating”

I've got my AquaCard at the end of November 2014 with an initial (low) limit of £300. I've used it only twice when I received a letter in January to inform me that my limit was increased to £950. That came by surprise, because another credit card company, whose card I have for over a year, didn't offer me an increase so far. I called today to make an overpayment on my account which has always been in tip top condition. They run through security and asked how I made my latest payment whilst I said just give me a moment they said sorry you've failed security and we can no longer discus anything on this account. They then tell me they can however take payment but that is it. “Pleasant and helpful customer services”

I have an aqua credit card to boost up my credit report. I recently had a problem with a missing payment. Some money hadn't come off my card. I called the customer services who were very helpful and the duty manager even offered his time to get to the bottom of it. 5 days later the money had gone in. “Rubbish!!”

After being a customer for nearly 4 years Aqua customer services blocked my card and ask me to send in paperwork which they have not received and after three attempts they have only recieved one copy so my personal information has been lost by them which is ludicrous!! I still have it blocked and they are still asking for the paperwork it is costing time and money in stamps and effort to sort this out I cannot wait to get rid. this has also just happened to me. may I ask you what paperwork they want you to send in? I am still waiting to hear back from them about what to do next....apparently my account is frozen and with head office until I send in relivant paperwork....which they have still not told me what to send!!

I would like to say how happy I am with Aqua credit card this card is brilliant, I have had this card for 6months now and iv managed to pay balance in full or at least paid part of what I owe to reduce the interest . After 3 months my credit limit went up from £300 to £850 which I was most pleased with iv found customer service very friendly and very helpful in the 6months of being a customer. Everyone deserve a 2nd chance and that's what Aqua gave me ... However you do learn from your mistakes which is what I have done considering it's been 7 years since iv been allowed to apply for a credit card in my name after bankruptcy . And some don't learn by if they go all hog and end up in debt again then back where they where again bankrupt ... It's a learning curve

“Doing just what I want”

For many years I've had an atrocious credit history, due to foolish things (ignoring letters from creditors, mainly). I'm OK now but bad credit tends to follow you. I now have an Aqua card; they gave me a low credit limit initially but after a few months paying everything off monthly they've upped my limit by quite a lot. “Minimum Payment Doesn't cover interest”

I signed up for this card because my credit rating had suffered over the years and it all started out well but now they are ripping me off left right and centre. This month they decided to charge me £30 minimum payment on a balance of just £390. Last month it was £25, the month before that £24 and the month before just £16. This is a credit card for people with little or no credit history, why are you applying for a card with such a high interest rate if you have such perfect credit? Of course you were rejected because you don't meet their criteria for this product. It's a card with a low starting limit, why would they want to offer it to you?!

“Difficult not to swear!”

Avoid this company if you want to save your nerves. They blocked my account, because I OVERPAID the balance! OVERPAID! It is taking already 1 month to unblock it and still no luck. Similar has just happened to me. I have overpaid by mistake and my card is 1k in credit. Cust services tell me I have to wait for a letter from head office and won't give me a number to call! Making me feel like a criminal!

I've sent them my ID, prove where the money came from and prove of address, that was on 3rd of October (2 weeks ago now).
One week after that I called them and they said they want something else from me, so I have to wait for another letter again.
One week later (2 weeks in total) still haven't received anything! Make my blood boil.
Have just called them again and the card is unblocked (!!!) since 10th (the day when they said I need to wait for another letter)!

I asked them to transfer the money back to my account where they came from, as I really have had enough and want to close the account, they said they won't do that and I need to ask my bank to get the money from them as "paid by misted" thing, it will take further 5 weeks for the money to be transferred back to my current account.

I've had some other problems with them in the past, but this is a different review, it's about what they do so you don't get you CASH BACK they advertise.

In one word - AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I have experienced the same problem today, I overpaid my account.I tried to buy something and my card was declined and when I called them they said that my card was being held at head office for security reasons and it could take from 7 to 10 days to be able to use my card again.I'm really worried now.Has your account been already unblocked ?
