Good Points: The sales representative was very helpful and friendly. The workers who came to put the conservatory together always left a clean place before leaving the house.

Bad Points: They overpromised on the deadlines - the conservatory was set to be completed by mid February. Instead the job was done by end of April.
We were left distressed by constant floods (the water would run underneath the conservatory doors) and the level of wall dampness in the conservatory.
The guarantee that the company gave us is not worth the paper it is written on: after several attempts to get them to look at the problems they never replied to our e-mails or calls.

General comments: We chose to give the work to Double Glazing Centre as we thought that they had the relevant experience (14 years in total) and that they came across as being very professional. Given our house is in a conservation area we expected the work to be subject to a fair amount of paperwork and scrutiny.
As DGC offered to complete all the necessary forms and to synchronise it with the council timetable we agreed to use them. The first problem came up when whilst pouring concrete for the conservatory base they omitted to lay a damp-proof membrane.
The second incident came when they neglected to notify the council that work had started. One of the council officer came to take photos of the conservatory in order to validate it - a process that took several weeks and delayed the work.
The final straw was months later when the level of dampness in the conservatory was so unbearable that we asked them to come and fix the problem: not only they didn't seal the door base which caused water to run straight through the conservatory but the walls were not correctly treated causing plasters to crumble over time.
