Southstar boards are great boards for begginners, the pop is ok and they last ages, but they are abit bendy in the middle and lose there shape pretty easily. Plus the graphics are no where near as good as brands such as almost. but overall a great board for the money!!!

South Star Skateboards are just amazing. Begginner or pro you have to get one, and for the price? I think they are the best skateboards around.

These south star decks are great for a beginner. They are cheap and last quite a while. They are a bit heavy but you can get them in some great colours but there are no classy graphics. If you want to get a really good deck you will have to spend around £50-£60 quid unless you can find some decent ones on offer. The best makes are:
    Girl
    Consolidated
    Heroin
    Popwar
    Chocolate

The South Star Skateboard is the best deck I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Lasted nearly 2 months until I snaped the kick but the pop was still good and shape intact (ish).

Ok I think the South Star Skateboard aren't very strong compared to the likes of Black Label.
My prefered deck is an Ideal (a Birmingham UK based skateshop)7.75 ins because of its durability light weight and the loads of pop they have.
This is my personal opinion and not the opinion of everyone.
I think that southstar are the best decks you can get for their price.

This is a great board with loads of pop. It's cheap and a bargain in the shops. If you can't afford a popular board south star are the ones to get

I once had a southstar deck and it lasted me a 5 months ok so the pop wore down to about 10cm but it didnt even end up with a stress fracture i think if you dont have £60 to spend on a deck get one of these

i completely agree with the review on southstar skateboards they do have excellent pop and they are amazing if you do either street or vert. I personally find them easier than any other board to flip they definitely deserve a 10 out of 10

Over the years i av had a variety of decks from blind to alien workshop, to other makes of blanks. At the time i went to the skatepark i had an alien workshop board (with pink griptape) an i was skatin that. I decided to get a new deck as the pop had just about gone, so i got a south star 7.5''. I walked out wid my nice new deck, expectin it to me nufin special. I was wrong, all of a sudden i was doin 360 flips out of fun boxes. I really think you shud stop gettin the pro graphic decks an skate ...

This South Star Skateboard should not be left on the shelf to gather dust, and all skaters,(novices or pros) will benefit from this exellent purchase

they may be good, but Krass decks from Canada are cheaper and better. They run about 10 quid plus shipping. i have been pounding one for about 3 months and it feels like a brand new deck, not mushy at all.

    www.krass.ca

they have a UK guy you can buy from too I think, but I bought directly from them.

I bought a South Star as my second board and didn't regret it one bit. I've had it for about 6 months now and it's kept it's shape pretty well (i'm currently looking for a new deck). For all you skaters who don't want to be spending that extra £20 - 30 on a graphic then South Stars are for you.

It's a heap of woodpushing cra-! With no pop it was like trying to ollie a tree trunk.
