It's been over a year and they have not delivered what they promised. Terrible customer service, they ignore you. Avoid. What you save on money, you pay in headaches and lack of service. Absolutely unprofessional.

AFter a few years with this company I can definitely say that they should be avoided at all costs. Don't be fooled by their decent looking website, yours will NOT look good and will NOT make any sales. Endless google analytics problems pushed my site completely off google rankings. They are impossible to deal with and take forever to answer important emails, they can't be contacted by phone and seem like a very 2 bit company. Avoid at all costs.

Stay away, terrible customer service and takes ages to complete, after 10 weeks all paid for, still not complete, a week will go by with no response from them, so frustrating!!!!!!!!!! Not people of their word! countless promises of completion and all they do is say sorry for the delay and then leave you hanging for another week with no reply. Completely half arsed company, wasting peoples time! Even they tried to argue with me!

I Spent nearly £1000 with them and still have a website that is not what I wanted that makes NO sales what so ever. In my opinion The staff couldn't care less after they receive your money they seem to have no interest in assisting you as far as website development goes but to sell you more product that they should include anyway! Every process seems very slow and painful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just because they have good reviews on their own website means nothing, I used pomdesign and as with the previous comments they did very little in a very long time , false promises, no design work, spelling errors after sending proof read notes, the list goes on, still not recieved my reciept for the deposit after 6 weeks. But they are not all bad and you can use professional webdesign companies with out worry, 1. NEVER pay any money up front, not even a deposit, 2. Try to visit the design companies place of work this will prove they exist, every major town has companies like this. 3. Dont trust portfolios, unused and old websites can be purchased for a very small amount and email addresses can be sent to whever you want, 4.Find a teenager in your family they will more than likely do the job quicker and better and for the price of a new xbox game 5. Have a go yourself it is easier than you think these days and there is bags of online help should you need it, and 6. Always warn others if you have been scammed or ripped off in the past by these people, write a review...

I used Pomp Design a few years ago, and right from the start it was just a long protracted waste of time. After I paid my deposit I was then heard nothing for 5 days until they contacted me asking me where my "design form" was, which it transpired he had...forgot to send. After he apologised for the error and sent the form, I sent it back after a week was wasted, which then set the scene perfectly for the following 6 months until he eventually finished the website. After many excuses which included "I had changed the design brief..", (when I wanted to have ecommerce attached to the website) and mumbo jumbo like "bolting on back ends" etc, I eventually got a website with a puny Control Management System (CMS) that was full of bugs. It also turned out that he'd used the same ecommerce template that had been used for a website that sold Indian clothing, and some plumbing website too (for good measure),and still had their files attached, which were also uploaded to the public_html files for my website and later started appearing in the google search results for my website which sells eyewear. Also, if you're looking for control over your website by the way, then don't expect anything more that being able to add products or change text descriptions, and for anything more like lay-out changes etc...then you'll have to ask him, ca-ching! To be fair to him though, after his initial state of bemusement, he did eventually help me to transfer my FTP files and my database files from his web hosting account, to my web hosting account, which was the best thing that ever happened to me. I am thankful to him for this, and for his schooling and long emails of explanation, I have now accrued a great amount of knowledge about the subject of website databases etc and for me it was worth every penny, in a strange fabulous way. In summary, though, unless you're hopelessly stupid like I was and need to learn web design the hard way, then there are other options out there, (that don't involve any kowtowing! Yes!) where you can buy a web design template off the shelf with ecommerce that you can easily attach to your paypal account in minutes, and best of all it doesn't actually involve waiting months and no writing of maybe 100 or 200 emails to some a company end of the M5 motorway (he is ignoring me now...I am heart broken). I have used a variety of other designers since my "days", but if you're new to the game then I highly recommend www.vistaprint.com or co.uk which has a full comprehensive system of quickly designing a website, at a fraction of the price.

I chose Pom Design to set up a new e-commerce site and was attracted by their competitive prices and straightforward and professional approach on initial consultation. However, things changed dramatically throughout the process. The design process started well but there was a serious lack of attention to detail and I found myself having to point out basic spelling / gramatical errors constantly. They made many mistakes and were slow to correct. Completion timelines that were agreed at the start lapsed dramatically, delaying my launch; phone calls were not returned and emails were ignored for sometimes over a week at the time! Really not what you want when waiting to launch a new website.. The level of customer service and communication was appaling!! The overall site design was OK but I suppose you get what you pay for!! I continue to regret using Pom and I only hope they sort out their serious customer service issues!!

I am in a nightmare. I have paid them £700 and the contract says if I cancel "for any reason" I have to pay the other half. I still have an incomplete website that I don't like after 13 months. What do I do?
