Cord breaks every 5 seconds of strimming, which means you have to continually re-thread the spool. Makes a 10 min job take 2 hours. Rubbish. (read more)

There is actually nothing to recommend this bit of junk. To advance new line you have to tap in down. Then it either leaves a small crop circle in your lawn or if you tap it on a firm surface it skims off leaving traces of aluminium. How long will the component last under those circumstances? When it does advance new line it sends out so much it cuts off 4"excess each time. Goes through the line in no time. Then it decides not to send out any line and you are left to turn of at the plug... (read more)

Had a Bosch washing machine years ago and it was a piece of junk as well. I was working in the back garden when my wife came round from the front saying " I can't stick this anymore " guess what she was talking about? The Easytrim , everyone's complaints on here have happened with us. I'm finished with Bosch. This machine couldn't have been tested. (read more)

This Bosch is maybe the most disappointing garden tool I have ever bought. Maybe my expectations were too high, but that is want a brand name like Bosch does. So why is this sooo disappointing? 1. Every time I use it I have to detangle and then re-thread the line. 2. Even with the line thread correctly it just hums – it does not strim (my garden looks semi-shaved) 3. I knocked it the other day and the guard broke off (rendering it unusable) I honestly... (read more)

I can't see one redeeming feature about this useless piece of junk. I was sucked in by the name, but it really is a case of "buy cheap, buy twice". This is two weeks old and on my way to get a flymo strimmer this afternoon, this will be literally going on the council tip. Save yourself trouble and DON'T buy one. (read more)

My Bosch Easy Trim strimmer works well for about two metres of lawn edge. Then the 'tap feed' mechanism fails, and I have to remove the spool and re-thread the nylon line. The plastic ring on the spool has a small hole through which the nylon cord passes. With use, this hole soon elongates and causes the nylon to snag, and refuse to feed. I have replaced the spool twice ... same problem each time. I thought that the Bosch name would guarantee a quality product. Sadly, this is not so in... (read more)

I refuse to even give this a wee bit of a star but i cant submit this review without one so i score it -99. Biggest load of manure ever to have come out with the bosch name on it. a cynic might think this is their revenge for a war lost or sumat. lasted all of 20 mins, the tap to feed doesnt work and i cannot get the spool changed. perhaps every german household has a special tool for changing their Bosch strimmer spools but it is a mystery to me. How anyone had the idea to even make his... (read more)

I bought this strimmer as a back up, for my Black and Decker strimmer as it was getting a little old. The Bosch 23 easytrim is one of the worst products I have ever purchased, ever. Reasons as follows: 1) Line only lasts for a few seconds then leaves you with an inch or so to play with. You then have to hand feed the line out as the "tap to feed" is rubbish and does not work 2) As stated, the "tap to feed" is an awful so called "invention". All this does is churn up your grass, unless you... (read more)

Without doubt the worst strimmer that is available. From constant line breakage and non working auto feed to one position only strimming.Take a tip and buy a pair of shears rather than this useless item save yourself hours of frustration. If this is German engineering thank god for the Japanese. Couldn't agree more. Used it twice, lost count of the number of broken lines. Now (second time of using) I simply cant undo the spool, to feed out a new line. there is nothing to grasp or get purchase on. What a crock of poop it is. I generally love Bosch stuff, but I hate this one!

I bought this Bosch Art 23 Easy trim just 2 weeks ago from DIY shop in Singapore and it is definitely a disappointed buy. It is a useless machine and am not sure if they had done a thorough R&D. It is not a friendly user machine so anyone who want to get Bosch think hard if you don't want to regret. The string snapped so often that I gave up after a while. There is just too many steps to re-string the broken string and imagine you have to do so often - a lot of wasted time. I still like... (read more)

Bought this item from Argos, where it is reasonably well rated at 4 out of 5 stars based on 110 reviews. Unfortunately my personal experience of this product was extremely poor. I used the Easytrim for less than hour to do a small patch of lawn some 12sq m. The line broke on average every 5-10 minutes, I lost count of how many times I had to remove the line spool and pull more line through. I'll be returning this item back to Argos for a full refund as it is well below par. (read more)

This strimmer is cheap ( about £20 ) and you instantly notice why. It does not really 'strim' grass easily, and as several reviewers have written the spool is used up soon enough. Anyone finding this effective as a product must surely have astro-turf. Not at all a good buy. Pay the extra and get a decent strimmer that doesn't feel like a waste of money ( and time- which is what I was trying to save) and gets the job done. This product is quite laughable and surely breaks the trade... (read more)

how are you supposed to know when to tap the thing to feed more line out?
evry minute or so? that'll use up line in no time!
when the motor note changes? very hard to detect.
and getting more line out when it's broken is a nightmare..the spool carrier with the tap-button on it jams in the housing every time and you have to use strap-wrenches to get it off..
NOT my idea of a usable product..
very disappointing!!
wish I'd read reviews before I bought it..

Bought the Bosch easytrim in a local garden centre for around £21. I've only got a small garden so did'nt want to pay a lot, sorry to say it was a total waste of money. It simply does not cut the grass I even tried it without the guard . It's ok on my hedge where there are no obstructions but I really need something that cuts where the lawnmower cannot get ie by my garage wall & raised path. I'm now on the lookout for something else at a good price. Any suggestions. (read more)

I bought this 3 years ago in B&Q, good price,Bosch good name??? wrong. its awful to use, very very poor and I can't get the spool cover off even after oiling it overnight. not much fun when youre a hard up OAP.
I've had several strimmers and this is total rubbish in every way.
