Good Points: Excellent picture and sound and lots of connections. Also widens tv to fit full screen films with no bars.

Bad Points: Have just been told by an engineer that this TV not compatible with sky tv box as tv kept switching off for few seconds every few minutes. My uncle bought same model, same time and place and has same problems. Have been told will have to wait for Sky + Samsung to get together for a new software upgrade. Not impressed at all.

General comments: I knew the Samsung PS50C96HDX tv had some slight issues with sound but not as bad as having a tv turn off for few seconds constantly while trying to watch something. Not one review I saw said anything on this problem. I hope this review gets more coverage, as samsung like most manufacturers don't seem to care as long as a sale is done.

I bought this Samsung plasma from John lewis for £899, and the TV was delivered for free and had the benefit of a 5 year guarantee. I knew it was a good deal when the entire stock was sold by John lewis's within 24 hours of going live.

The picture quality of this TV is superb, colours are bright and vibrant. it has loads of connection and even a dedicated games mode for consoles. It has a movie mode which avoids jitters from movies displaying fast moving action.
