one time i ate at izumi and it was ok the next time i went and ate the food was not as good but i had to eat it because i was hungry the service was bad becaues there is no service exept drinks when you get fellatio so overall it was ok but if i want to eat food i would rather eat a nice food thank you (read more)

Have been to both Izumu restaurants and find they are just as good as each other. Food always hot and the staff friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend to any one. Plus ponts for child prices. We have even tried their sister restaurant Zenxi in Chelmsford, oh what can I say - its excellent!! My partner and I visited the Izumi Restaurant in Brentwood for the first time on Thursday 16th February 2012. As we walked through the door, we walked into a very well presented buffet style Chinese restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and immediately showed us to our table and got us our drinks. I love Izumi! I've only been to the one in Maldon but im planning to check out the one in Brentwood soon. The food at Izumi is excellent, for just £12.95 you get so much to choose from and you can have as much as you like! Whenever there is a family occassion and we have to choose somewhere to go it always turns out to be Izumi and it's never a disappointment. If you want a restaurant with a great atmosphere, great service, superb food then go to this retaurant!!! 5* I cant wait to go back! (read more)

Actually delicious. I enjoyed the Chef’s special, followed the servers suggestion , and wrapped up off along with a nice soft serve dish . Classic food, dished up in an unassuming dining-room without a significant amount of fuss. New Take away service is fantastic, plenty of food, great value and ready quickly, would recommend to everyone. You choose a starter or dessert, main course and then either rice, noodles or chips all for under £7. For that price we can have a take out once a week. (read more)

I love Izumi, the variety of food available is just fantastic! The food is of good quality and they really do have something for everyone. We go there at least once a month as you do get a lot for your money. I have to mention the range of desserts as well, they have a range of cakes on offer which are also unlimited, as well as fruit and ice cream. OH, and banana and apple fritters which are delicious. Have been to Izumi in Maldon quite a few times now and always enjoy the food. The waiters are excellent, very fast at clearing the plates inbetween courses and are all very friendly.
The only "down side" we found on our last visit was that our 11 year old Grandson was classed as an adult - he is just 150cm tall in his trainers - and ate less than our eight year old Grandaughter.

We have been to Izumi, a number of times now food is always of a good standard and before something runs out they re-fill it very quickly.
When you finish the staff are very good at getting rid of your plates so that you can go up again without having to wait, staff are always friendly and helpful and the venue is spotless. Over all good value for money well worth a visit.

The food at Izumi was excellent and had a lot of variety to choose from. The different dishes never ran out as they were re-filled with fresh food regulary. The good thing was that you could go up and get as much as you wanted, as many times as you wanted. Overall it was a enjoyable meal.All of the food was lovely.
