Airwalk Skateboards, where can I start; The griptape is terrible, and on mine that I had about 5 months back, it went completely smooth, and had the consistancy of electrical tape. The deck chips really easily, and they have barely any concave. The trucks are very weak, I broke mine just dropping off a bus curb. The wheels are very soft, which I must admit I liked, but I don't think they are actually urethane. The bearings are ABEC 5 and they are half decent. I paid £31.99 for my Airwalk... (read more)

The airwalk skateboard I purchased was supposedly £90 reduced to £23. I thought that it would be really good as a friend recommended it to me so I went out to buy it. The deck itself is really strong, it lasted me years until it snapped as it got waterlogged. The griptape was terrible! Like spray-on grip! The trucks are really really heavy and there is not much concave on the board. Airwalk boards could be great if they deepened the concave, reduced the weight greatly! And also better... (read more)

i bought an airwalk because i thought it would be better than any other cheap boards, then i found out how bad it was. the bearings sucked and the board lost most pop and chipped easily. i couldnt ollie flat until i got a better board. in the shop it was £90 but on sale for £30. also the grip tape got less gripy aswell. if i knew it was that bad i would not have wasted my money on it. no good for ramp or street. on ramp it doesnt even get up the spine and on street i couldnt do nothing. i... i just started skateboarding and i went to a sprting store and they told me it had a good value for the money. i mean it was cheep since it was only $30. the board itself was good since it has strong trucks. however, the wheels were tiny plastic and they sucked. i could possibly recomend it for a begginer but you would have to change the wheels to some spit fire or birdhouse. I think if your new to skateboarding and just looking to pick up some of the basics, than going with an Airwalk deck is a great road to take, they are cheap decks, that are pretty strong. The problem with these decks are they tend to break at the tail and nose, their pop isn't amazing also they are quite heavy, also the grip tape that comes already on the board isn't the best, so it maybe advisable to change the grip, ( I advise Jessops Grip tape). Overall these decks are good for beginners,... (read more)

I wouldn't recomend getting this deck. Me and my friend both have them, and the both warped! They curve to the left, no matter what you do. The deck also cracks way too easy. I had mine for 2 weeks and by then it had atleast 1 crack coming from each hole. The board also moves slowly, and weighs way too much. I would consider getting a better board even for a beginner. i dunno what people are complaining about, airwalk decks have a good reputation, it depends on what deck you buy, you just have to shop around for the deck that suits you, people are buying a cheap deck that can snap easy, or a deck that's too heavy to olie on,(piece of advice... shop around for the best deals) (read more)

MY first and present board is an Airwalk one, and I know there are a lot of reviews about the decks breakin doing kick-flips n stuff, but beginners like me can't do kickflips! I think they are excellent starting boards, yeah yeah ABEC 1s are so slow you say, but I like 'em. I don't want some crazy wheels that run away under me when I'm learning :)the deck is pretty fat I know, but I find lighter decks harder to handle. Maybe I'm just wussy, or a wierdo but this is my review. And for £40 it's... (read more)
