It has a light weight and good power (slightly less than hw80) and its accuracy is about 1.5" from 35 yard.

My HW 85 belonged to my farmer son in law who abused it. It is twenty years old, rusty and rough. It has never been taken apart or even oiled !I got it and oiled the hinges and tested it on my combro and it is still shooting at 11.4 ft. lbs. and shoots SO sweetly. I have had dozens of air rifles but this is the best, quiet, very low recoil and SO accurate. I am currently looking at buying a new one.

Very impressive for big games. Shoots accurately at about 35 yards. Very accurate and powerful, good for big games that is hunting rabbits, patridges, dogs and even porcupines. Only problem I found with the Weihrauch HW85 is that the screws have to be tighten every 40 shots

I bought it in the UK and found it right on the UK legal limit of 12 foot-pounds. It's extremely smooth to cock, and because it has a smaller cylinder and piston than the HW80, I find it more accurate. In New Zealand where I live, air rifles may have any power, and I had a NZ specification HW80 in .177 for a lo ...
