  Bad Points: Too hot

  
  

  General comments: This is our 3rd mattress after 33 years of marriage. We decided to buy a mattress with a "good" name but after spending $3000 we cannot sleep. This pillow top sealy mattress is just so hot. It is unbearable to sleep in. We are OK with the comfort side of it, but can't work out what to do about the heat, we freeze on the top of us but are red hot on the bottom. We have such a restless night of tossing and turning all the time looking for a "cool" spot on the bed. Most nights my husband goes and sleeps on the old mattress downstairs. Sealy say they will take the pillow top off which will cost us another $500 but still no guarantees that will fix the problem. Wish I had never, never bought a Sealy pillow top mattress.

  Had purchased cheaper mattresses in the past and decided to treat ourselves to a 'good' one this time: a Sealy Posturepedic Ultra Premium. Hardness rating was 8/10, as our last one was 9/10 and a little hard we thought this would be ideal but unfortunately it is far too hard. The memory foam makes it very warm which is a bonus in the winter but not so good in the summer. We have only had this mattress 2 years but have now decided to replace it.

  Bought as a replacement for a latex double mattress which had really started to show signs of age we opted for the Sealy Ultra Memory Support mattress as a replacement as we have owned another Sealy ultra luxe bed for ages 10 years and this has never let us down. A really comfortable mattress, this is a medium to firm mattress, but gives excellent support. The memory foam layer is really comfortable, but is still quite cool. Combined with the serenity pillows from Dunlopillo and we have slept ...

  My wife and myself went out looking for a good mattress for home at a large retailer.
  We were convinced by a representative from Sealy to purchase the Posturepedic Ultra Premium mattress because it was the best.
  After 2 weeks at home, the mattress started to get hard and uncomfortable.
  Tried to get it fixed, but we were given the run around.
  After spending $4500, the mattress is now going in the spare room because it is so bad.
  I will never BUY A SEALY PRODUCT AGAIN!! ...
