Display segments failed, so hard to work out actual temperature. Cooling efficiency very poor or not working at all sometimes. A complete waste of the thick end if £150. To your home and then down to the tip. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this junk. Just wish I had read the reviews before buying, you have been warned!

Do not even contemplate this. Three of us bought these at a cost of over 5 000 pounds. None of them work...please don't ever buy these.

This has worked well for about a year keeping the reds and whites at the appropriate temperatures. If power off then temperatures needs to be reset but this is not an issue as such. Challenging keeping it in temperatures about 1 degree C

Don't bother.Better just to blow on the bottles yourself.Phone number now dead....suprise!

Wine fridge that never worked, completely useless. Wouldn't recommend to anybody.

The item has never worked, the temp control is all over the place, it's a complete piece of junk, avoid at all costs..

Just like the other people who bought this, it worked for about one year. Then the top compartment wouldn't hold its temperature properly - could only get to within 2-4 degrees of the required setting. The some of the segments in the LED display stopped working so it was then hard to know what temperature the thing was at..! After a few more months the whole thing stopped working altogether . Managed to make it to the end of its 1 year warranty period but as soon as that had passed it seemed to fall to pieces. Certainly wouldn't buy a DIHL product again.

Bought one of these in 2009. Looked great, easy to use but after about 14 months it would not maintain the set temperature in the white wine section. Contacted the supplier and cleaned out all of the fans but still no joy. I then replaced the power supply which resolved the problem for about two months. Red wine section died about a month later, replaced that power supply but still no good. Both sections stuck on 13c no matter what I try. Well made case, junk electronics. Skipped it last week Save your money and buy a proper one

Ordered our cooler although an 18 bottle model, just before xmas 2010, wasn't deliivered until 26th Jan so they missed our Christmas deadline! Unit worked fine for first 4 months or so, then compressor seemed to kick in very often, would only drop 1 degree and keep cooling again. We like our wine at 9 degrees but kept noticing temp at 14 degrees. Tried turning off as manual suggested and no difference. Contacted toyourhome several times via email- no response, decided to ring and told to bring item back for diagnostics check, I was happy to do this as we lived about 30 minutes away. On arrival found someone in the shambolic looking warehouse with units in pieces everywhere, there seemed to be only one guy there so he plugged it in and hey presto the unit wouldn't cool. He said all the gas had leaked out and with no hesitation gave us a new one. Was told that because this was a replacement we could not bring it back. The unit lasted approx 2 months and same again. Can't be bothered this time, they are obviousley sub standard. I now have a very expensive stainless cupboard! Would not recommend to worst enemy, you have been warned.

Had problems with 2 wine fridges that I bought from To Your Home (one holds about 32 bottles, the other about 60). Neither get to 12C and now one has just stopped working and sounds like the fans are bust.
Don't buy Dihl or anything via To Your Home even though they look like a bargain. It's only a bargain if you want a stand alone cupboard and don't plug it in!

i would never deal with sales to your home again. I bought a Dihl 21 bottle wine cooler in May 2009 it failed. Dreadful customer service from To your Home, they would not respond to emails. Had to get trading standards involved.Eventually another unit was supplied in Oct and this lasted for 8 weeks this failed 24th Dec 09. Again very difficult to get any response/conmmunication from TO your home. I am now still waiting for a replacement. To your home have now decided on the 26th jan to inform me that they tested the first unit and they deemed it to be working. Strange as the fans on the unit were definately not working and the wine was very warm. No confidence and no trust in this co.
All i wanted was a wine cooler that cooled wine.

I bought a DIHL WF-21 BSS wine cooler from "to your home" about two weeks ago. I have just fitted it on 20.6.09 and have found the fan is extremely noisy and it stays on for ages. I would say about ten times louder than my full size fridge/freezer. I dread to think how much electricity it uses and the noise is just not acceptable. I have managed to get it to cool to 11c on the temp gauge but the wine still is not cool enough. It cools to 11c then switches off, it then stays off until the temp shows 15c by which time the contents are warm, then switches on again foe ages. It is absolute rubbish!

I had the old version of this Wine Fridge, but have just upgraded to the new 28 bottle cooler in stainless steel!
What an improvement, I only upgraded as my new house had all stainless steel appliances so I wanted the cooler to match but the noise is barely noticable now, it looks gorgeous and was an absolute bargain.
Great improvement, well done Dihl!!!

I had nothing but problems with my Dihl WF-28 Wine Fridge that i paid good money for. After a few days it would not reach 17 degrees for red wine and after contacting the retailer on many occasions they took the cooler back and repaired it only to ask me to pay for delivery again as they could not find a problem with it. Funny that as when it came back it went right to 17 degrees for about 3 weeks and now it has the same problem as before, only it will not get higher than 12 degrees this time.

I bought this Dihl wine cooler from www.toyourhome.co.uk. I would avoid this poor quality unit and especially now www.toyourhome.co.uk want to charge me to pick up the faulty goods!

We had this problem, but it ended up being that there was muck caught in the fan. All we did was clean out the fan and it works beautifully now.

<br/>Can you really blame them for charging for the return?

It's a fricking peltier cooler, what did you expect, of course it won't cool below 11*C. It's like buying a tractor with a goal of starting it in a cross road race. Silly.

I'm in exactly the same situation. I can hear it through the whole house and it doesn't cool lower than 12 degrees. No response so far from seller (toyourhomes ltd). Initially there was quick communication when they wanted payment, but then nothing. It's the cheapest build quality I have ever seen. I'm in the industry and have seen some poor stuff from China, but this is poor.

All the symptoms seem to be the same as the one I've just bought (WF-14 model). As for customer service, I've emailed sales and technical support at Toyourhome and even filled in the on-line sheet at Dihl and had no replies. Took receipt of the thing Tuesday (3/06/08) and I can't even work out how to contact them to get them to take it back!

Thanks black ghost, I do feel that they should pay to pick up. To answer the other feedback it does not have anything in the fan as this happened the first day of use and I think that as it has never worked from day 1 that they should replace or refund i have emailed toyourhome but no reply. Still maybe I can find a use for it?

I agree with petertc on this one. It seems to me that when you buy a product of a company they should take care of it afterwards. If it breaks and is within warranty then 'yes, it should be picked up by the company and be paid for by them too'. A product being faulty can happen all the time, at the end of the day it is the customer service you receive in response that counts!

I agree. Had problems with the LEDs from day 1. I have a couple of segments left on each side,so no idea of the settings. Also from day 1 the LEDs were changing on their own with no one near the cooler. I sent it back at my cost of £60 and they said there was no fault and returned it. You have to frequently clear the rear filters otherwise the inefficient coolers will run all the time costing you electricity. Never buy this . Also you can't find out where dihl company is and they don't have a sensible web site. Rubbish
