I am on day two of this British Heart Foundation diet, i do not feel hungry. I was wandering if I could just have a day break or a two break before going back on it as I timed it wrong. I started on Saturday and will finish tomorrow. So I thought if I start Tuesday or Wednesday it would be better. Any ideas?

I have only just started the British Heart Foundation Diet diet and am halfway through day 2. So far I have lost 4 pounds!!! I recently put on 4 stone due to a combination of several illnesses I suffer from and the medication I have been prescibed. I tried Slimming World and Weight Watchers but lost no weight on either. I know both diets are very good as have lost weight on both in the past.
I was very sceptical of this diet to begin with and the reviews as I found it very difficult to believe ...

My husband was told to loose weight during an annual check-up last year and the practice nurse in attendance offered him a copy of the 3 Day British Heart Foundation Diet Sheet which she was following herself. Both being overweight (15 stone and 12.5 stone and in our 60's) we decided to heed the advise. We dieted and walked 3 times a week from October to February, lapsing slightly over the Xmas period - I lost 2.5 stone and my husband lost 4.5 stone. We are delighted with the weight loss and ...

I have used it before to kick start a diet and it has worked. This time I am using with Weight Watchers. Mon - Wed is the 3 day diet then the rest of the week is weight watchers. I've lost 8lbs in the first 3 days. Hoping to lose 2 stone by the end of August.

I stuck to the British Heart Foundation diet, and found it to be a very safe diet. It worked better than the South Beach diet, which made me very ill after.
I Lost 4lb in the 1st 2 days, it was unbelievable! I put on 10lbs after a 3week cruise, and just could not shift it until doing this diet. after week one I have lost 7lb! Wow and I am not a big person either, so this diet really works for everyone.

I tend to pack on 7 or so pounds at Christmas or holiday times. I used to be able to shift these just by getting back to my normal routine but nowadays (I'm late 50s) it's not so easy, but I find this does it for me.

I'm not convinced about the chemical science but it just focuses me to cut down over a short period.

If you can loose weight with this diet and keep it off for four days after eating normally I would be amazed but if you still follow a low calorie diet in between it would work, but then again in my opinion the two bowls of cereal a day diet would work just as well.

Apparently this diet has nothing to do with British heart foundation but I did loose 4 pounds in 3 days but I think this is due to it being a low calorie diet and nothing to do with chemical reactions as it states.

You loose weight really quickly, the diet is for 3 days and I lost 4 and a half pound which I was really proud, most of the food is good and you only got to do it for 3 days. I hate beetroot and cottage cheese so I didn't enjoy eating that but thats all the bad points really. Very good

I was hungry a lot of the time, with not a lot to look forward to at meal times. A balanced healthy diet works just as well. Very dry diet , even black tea was restricted.
