Since receiving the card I have not been able to use it in the shop as the computer did not reconise the correct pin.
I cannot use it on the phone or the internet as the computer does not reconise my address.
I cannot use it at the hole in the wall as the computer states I have been to the hole in the wall to often.
I have spent 2 hours on the phone but the card provider states the pin and the address are correct so there is not a faught.
Recent attempts to phone resulted in 5 minutes of recording at a enhanced rate then being cut off.
I strongley recomend that no person takes out this card.

I applied for the Argos Master Card due to the 3-months interest-free credit period on purchases plus the 1% cashback on all purchases, 2% cashback on everything bought in Argos. Despite an A1 personal credit rating, I was given £1,000 limit which went in two months as I use my credit card for my business as well. My final use of the card was for petrol which took my card over the limit by £12 - my fault as I had not kept a running total of my balance - who does? - and the petrol s ...

The reason I choose the Argos mastercard over others is for the voucher scheme. The major problem is getting hold of the voucher. When I got the card the term stated that I will be getting the vouchers every three months. I didn't get my vouchers after first 4 months and I will have to chase to get my first batch of vouchers in April. It is now four month since I got my last set of vouchers and it looks they have changed the schema and can't be bothered to inform me about. Now I have made number ...

Avoid the Argos Mastercard, I have been a victim of fraud, this has gone on since July 08 and problem is still not sorted, Argos fraud Deparment/Customer Services are terrible, no one has called me back yet, and I've had no reponse to letters.
I now decided to seek advice.

Highly recommended! I took out the card in August because it gave me 2% back for my shopping (I was buying a table for my dining room). I've also used it for my petrol recently, and I've just recieved £35 in Argos vouchers! Not bad for 3 months worth of spend (it beats Nectar).
You can also buy a whole range of Argos stuff at discount on their website - You just can't loose.
My advice would be to take this out now before they get wise and increase the APR or put some other spending restri ...

0 Percent Interest for 59 days after purchase. The your rewards section is great for money off deals even the buy £50 vouchers get £10 voucher (20% free) free deal is worth getting every month if your a big spender at argos as its the best voucher deal available (some mastercards do a buy £50 vouchers for £45 which only works out at 10% free.
Overall the card lacks on a customer service side but makes up for this in the very good rewards you can get.

Customer service very poor, promised to do somethings than never done them. They have to call you back with almost all queries.
They charged me unpaid direct debit fee when money was collected from my bank account and the credit card statement shows a credit balance.
I am still waiting for a refund in my bank account for over 20 days now.

On the face of it, the Argos Mastercard is a good card. In fact, I'd go so far as to say if you don't need to speak to customer services, it's great.
In essence, the card requires purchases to be paid by the due date on the next-but-one statement. For example, if you may a purchase in January, you need to pay it off by the due date on the March statement (not February's). Even if you do not pay the full amount due by then, you will be charged interest from that statement date (in this case, Marc ...

    1) Name spelt wrongly on card.2) I wasn't asked for a password at the time of applying for the card (the person taking the application just made one up without telling me) so I had problems accessing details on the card to start with.2) After resolving that issue, I was sent a personalised application to apply for the same card, but with the additional incentive of 0% for 6 months on balance transfers. When I called up to have this offer transferred to my current card (or to obtain another accou ...

The Argos Credit Card is great for all those people who have to claim expenses because of the discounts and rewards. It also gives you 3 months interest free on some purchases. It has a good APR but not the best about average. My advice is use it, claim it and win it.

When i applied for Argos Mastercard it took only a few minutes online, and it arrived (pin and card) within a week or so. I received a good amount of credit for my income which i am happy. there was no problem activating the card just a simply phone call. the best thing about this card is you have up to 3 months to pay for any purchase unlike most credit cards which is up to 59 days or so. this card has other great benefits like offers that you card purchase online, for example at Christmas the ...

Easy to apply for only took about 1-2 weeks to arrive through the post.
Argos also give you a cash back offer which is fantastic for the cash points and they offer a fair credit limit with out being messed about, generally very good and hassle free

The Argos credit Card is easy to apply for and quick to get the card although I had a few minor problems on route but they sorted it out. It gives a long interest free period so it is worth having.

I applied for an Argos Mastercard 2 weeks ago(attracted by the 3 months interest free plan) using the online application process and got my new card within a week and was given all the details including a hefty £6000+ credit limit. All seemed well!...Until today when I thought I'd try logging into the Argos Mastercard website. I was presented with a message saying I should call customer services because of a problem with my card. I called them immediately since I was planning to use my Arg ...
