I have paid monthly paiment and when i went to purchese new item my card was declined ! Payment was taken over the phone and i was told that nobody marked down that is paid! After I made my first purchase, I instantly set up my direct debit online so that I do not forget the payment. These bunch of dumb heads even didn't bother to take the money out of my account on time and a late fee incurred in the statement. After calling to their premium rate number, someone apologized for the error and transferred me to the customer service department to rectify the problem. unfortunately Argos they chose the worse bank ( Vanquis Bank ) to to handle Argos credit card. I submit my details on the website and I keep receiving calls on my mobile and at home asking to take more details. If you are considering taking an argos mastercard reconsider as customer services are very rude,i was 3 days late making a payment so as well as getting a late payment fee they made me pay standard rate interest i had first got an promotional rate at 0% there interest rates are huge so i will be closing my account with them asap never to use again… Read Full Review

Have had different credit cards over the last 30 or more years and can honestly say this is probably the worst. Agree with all the other comments about poor customer service and low credit limit etc.
I was approached in store by a very pushy guy and the only reason I did apply was that I thought it was some kind of upgrade of the Argos storecard which I've had for years. Me and my partner applied for the Argos card, I did mine in store and she did hers over the internet on there website, we both have no credit issues, I got refused and she got accepted. I took this for a saving on purhcases on the day. Firstly, I was staggered by the £500 limit! The only lower limit I have ever had was £250 - back in 1974! My others are into thousands. But, as I didn't really intend to use it, there was no problem.
I did use it and when I tried to register online, I was told 2 parts didn't match their records. I then rectified the errors with Customer Services and was told to try again in 24 hours.

They only gave me a £1000 credit limit - the lowest on any card I've ever had.
Now I know why.
It's so you're likely to go over the limit, and they can charge you £12. (Why can't they just not authorise the transaction?)
Now, you might think a £1000 limit would be OK. So did I, as I typically spend £500 per month, and pay t off in full by direct debit.

i applied for this card just for the sake of money back rewards, been doing timely payments had no problem using the card but the rewards never got one calling customer services is of no use, the only answer i used to get was there was a system error the reward voucher is on its way but never got one. but have been paying telephone bills calling 0845 numbers. ARGOS CREDIT CARD - I have always been able to pay any balance off before interest became due on a buy now pay later basis with Argos.. However, this time, I had found that hard. I too have had difficulties with PIN number changes that the Barclaycard systems don't pick up from Barclays ATMs. Contacting the call centre is like trying to have an intelligent conversation with a Stepford Wife. They don't work for Argos or for Barclaycard. It's some other company answering the calls so they don't care. They get paid whether the service is good or bad. Applied for the Argos mastercard due to the generous money back scheme. Have spent thousands on the card but never received any noney back. Phoned customer services which is an 0845 number so it actually costs you to complain about there bad services. Was passed around from one department to another all saying my problem of not receiving my money back was nothing to do with them.
