    The Sony TRV17 mini dv digital camcoreder is a joy to use. It's traditional "camcorder shape" makes it stable and easy to hold. I find the smaller cams can be fiddly and hard to hold steady. Even so, this camcorder is small, weighing in at 0.65kg and is robust too. The controls and buttons on the cam are clear and not too close together thus easy enough for the bigggest fingers to press effectively. The 3.5" LCD is clear and the speaker is adequate enough. The colours and sound on playback are first class and far exceeded my expectations. The cam has a memory stick for digital stills and MPEG video. The quality of the stills is fairly good and these can be easily uploaded to your PC through the USB cable supplied onto the MGI Photosuite/Videowave software also supplied. Overall I am delighted with everything this little cam has to offer and thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a digital camcorder. This review copyright Amazon
